Disclaimer: I do no own Alex Rider or any of it's characters.

Hey, I changed the end of the last chapter and this entire chapter, I'm sorry I haven't updated in 2 years... kind of slipped my mind. Again feel free to review with your honest opinions, I like to know what people really think. If you notice any mistakes or inconsistencies let me know and I'll fix them.

"Sergeant, I'd like to use the phone please, I need to make an appointment with the bank." I said. I lost the emotion on my face and decided to go into my "spy mode" I was going right back to the place I'd run away from. The place that had destroyed my life and everyone I loved. My classmates all look confused except for Tom, he knew exactly what I was talking about. Looking at the soldiers I could tell some of them knew what I was talking about while some looked confused.

"Now Jaguar after everything you've done, everything they put you through; is that really a good idea? Why would you ever want to contact them again, I thought the whole point of you being here was to get away from them?" The sergeant didn't understand why I was doing this.

"I've now put all of you in danger since you know who I really am. I have no way of protecting any of you, I don't even know what's a danger to you at this point. I need information and I need clearance, I won't let it be like last time. Things will be done my way this time, I won't be a tool used at their will. I have conditions that need to be met and if they aren't I won't rejoin them." I was serious about that, I will never be their tool again.

"Ok Jaguar, come with me then, the rest of you get these kids organized and get to work." He said shouting the last part at the soldiers. I followed the sergeant back to his hut where I could use his phone. Once there he left me alone to do what I had to. I stared at the phone for a moment thinking about everything that had happened to me. Was this really the best choice? I thought of Jack and everyone else that had died, I couldn't let that happen to anyone else. I picked up the phone and dialed the banks number, listening to it ring for a moment. I heard the click as they answered and started speaking before they had the chance to greet me.

"I know you're not a bank so stop with the bullshit, I need to speak to Tulip Jones. I know she's there so don't try to tell me she doesn't work there, tell her Alex Rider wants to speak to her. I heard a woman fumbling over her words for a moment before I was put on hold. A moment later the phone was picked up again.

"Why aren't you in America Alex? I thought you were done with this life?" Straight to the point, there was no messing around.

"Jones you ruined any chance I had at a normal life, you know I could never go back to it. How could I sit in school while I knew what was really going on out there? How many people were dying because I wasn't there to help them? I couldn't do it. I would like to rejoin the bank as long as my conditions are met, no compromising with me." I had said it now, there was no going back.

"I see Alex, are you sure you would like to rejoin us? You know that would entail doing missions. What are these conditions of yours?" Tulip asked.

"First of all I choose what missions I go on, no more black mailing. I'm done with all that garbage, you try to force me into anything and I'm gone and I will not be your friend at all after that. I want to be paid for the missions I go on and I would like to receive a gun and any weapons I might need. I need protection for everyone who I've put at risk, I will not let anyone else end up like Jack. No more innocent lives need to be lost. I want to have enough clearance to know about any threats to me and my friends. I want intel on SCORPIA and other organizations I've angered. My final request is that I be allowed to remain as an SAS soldier while not on missions for you. I quite like being Jaguar, plus it will help me keep my fitness up. So what do you say Jones? Do we have a deal?'' I don't think I'm being unreasonable, I wonder if I'm worth this much to them.

"This is everything we need to do to have you? We can do it as long as you remain loyal to us if we do so." She replied, I didn't think she would agree so quickly.

"As long as my conditions are met, I will be nothing but loyal to you and our country." I meant it, my loyalty will never waiver. I'll never let myself be persuaded by enemies again, not after SCORPIA.

"You can come into the bank later today and we will make it all official, you'll be Agent Jaguar. We will hide your true name from everyone, we won't bring any of your friends into this. See you later Agent, I'm glad you're okay." she said, wow Jones does have a bit of a heart. With that I hung up the phone.

I headed back to my cabin after I left the sergeant's hut, making sure to avoid running into anyone. My unit would definitely have a lot of questions after this morning. I stood at my hut's door unsure of what I should do. I decided I was being ridiculous, I've been through so much worse than this. Why was I fearing my unit so much right now? I walked in and came face to face with my unit along with K-unit and... Tom?

"What are all of you doing in here?" There was hardly enough room for just my unit, let alone two and Tom.

"We are here because we wanted answers, we wanted the truth. None of us are willing to share what we know about you so this has been useless so far." Wolf said from his spot against the wall. None of them wanted to reveal what they knew about me? To protect me? Or because they think they know more than the others and like having the upper hand?

"Well I don't know what you lot know but I'll bet I know more. Alex is my best mate, I know he left out some details but I know what he's been through. I won't share because I wouldn't betray him like that, he trusted me with what I know." I was touched, Tom said I am his best mate, not was. That means I haven't lost him! He really is looking out for me. I guess I do owe everyone an explanation.

"I guess you all want to know what the story is?" My units looked at me with curiousity and Tom looked like he was bracing himself.

"Why did you come here originally? Why did you need to be trained?" Eagle asked. I guess they were never told why I was there besides the fact it was for SO.

"Well to explain that I guess I'll have to tell you a few other things, you guys might want to take a seat my story isn't a short one." I said as they all took seats around the hut. "When I was 14 my uncle died in a car crash, at least that's what they told me. They said he would have lived had he been wearing his seatbelt, but that's the thing. My uncle had a thing about seatbelts, he would have never been driving without one. Well as curious as I was I decided to investigate his death, I told you guys a bit about that." I said gesturing towards S-Unit."After some investigating I discovered he had actually been killed, his seatbelt would not have helped against the amount of bullets put into his car."

"So that's how your uncle really died? but what's that got to do with you being here? Who killed your uncle?" Snake asked looking intrigued.

"I was getting to that, my uncle was killed by a man hired by the person my uncle was investigating. My uncle was a spy for MI6 and had been looking into Herod Sayle and his Stormbreaker computers. When Mr. Sayle discovered who my uncle was he sent an assassin after him. This assassin was Yassen Gregorovich, a man who got the job done. After my uncle died I got a call to come into the bank, I apparently had to settle some accounts. After I got into my uncles office and was tranquillized by an agent I was... persuaded to help MI6. By persuaded I mean blackmailed with the threat of deporting Jack, I should have just let them deport her. I was then sent here to train for my mission."

"Yassen Gregorovich? Didn't he die? He was one of the most feared assassins, anyone who crossed him died." Donkey said.

"He wasn't as bad as he seemed, he didn't kill children, he did his job and he looked out for me." I said remembering all the times I ran into him on my missions, when I was hellbent on killing him.

"You met Yassen and he didn't kill you? What do you mean he looked out for you?" Giraffe asked shocked. So many questions jeez.

"I used to run into him on my missions before he died, he saved my life a couple of times. He knew my father in the past and maybe that's why he helped me."

"Wait a minute Jaguar, you said your name was Alex Rider before right?" I nodded to that."Were you related to John Rider at all? The one who turned to SCORPIA?" Cheetah asked.

"He was my father, but he wasn't an enemy to our country. He was a double agent; the whole time SCORPIA thought he was working for him he was actually working for MI6. He trained Yassen while "working" for SCORPIA. His death on that bridge was staged, he actually died with my mother on a plane when I was a few weeks old. The bombs on the plane detonated by ASH to confirm his loyalty to SCORPIA." I told them solemnly, it still hurt to think of my parents death, of Ash's betrayal.

"Why did Ash murder your parents? How did he even know they were alive and on that plane?" Wolf asked.

"He knew because he was my parent's friend. Well he was supposed to be at least, he didn't do a very good job. He was also my Godfather unfortunately, that was an unfortunate twist." I still don't understand how he could do that to my family, knowingly making me an orphan. I guess he did intend to kill me too though, I would have died if it wasn't for that ear infection of mine.

"I killed your godfather Alex? I'm so sorry I didn't know..." Ben said looking upset.

"Ben, I don't care that you killed him. He helped ruin my life and make me who I am today, you did me a favour by killing him. He meant to kill me too, I was supposed to be on the plane with my parents." Everyone was starting to give me looks of pity, everyone but Tom who had remained silent up until this point.

"Listen everyone, Alex doesn't want your fucking pity. He's been through more than most people but he's accepted what his life is, show him some respect. He's not some little orphan cub who wants your pity, he's your fellow soldier who wants recognition for what he's done to this country." It was funny how Tom always knew what was on my mind, he really was my best mate.

"Anyway I think that's enough sharing time for tonight, how about we talk some more tomorrow, okay? I promise I'll answer your question but there are things that I need to do. Also thanks Tom,you really nailed it with that one. We have a lot of catching up to do man." I said looking at the time and realizing I needed to leave to the bank soon. Everyone who didn't belong in our hut parted ways. They were probably all of to get the hell questioned out of them by the other people in camp. I trust that they'll keep their mouths shut. It seems like things are actually going to work out, after that shit show I thought it was all over.
