Hi guys! Wow…so many things have happened since I last updated…but this will be the last chapter! It's not your typical ending so please don't hate me. Explanation for what happened will be at the end of the story but as for now, enjoy!

The two Pokemon stared at each other defiantly, Electivire on one side, Sceptile on the other side; both of them were breathing heavily because of the battling they've been doing for the past fifteen minutes.

"Electivire, Ice Punch!"

The battle between the two Pokemon resumed after their century long stare down as Electivire made the first move and dashed across the field in the blink of the eye with a fist glowing blue.

"Counter with Leaf Blade!"

Sceptile quickly countered by turning the leaves on his arms into razor sharp blades. Thanks to the Grass-Type's speed, he was able to match every blow Electivire delivered, despite the additional speed of Motor Drive.

"Brick Break!"

"Sceptile, let him get close then you know what to do." Ash said calmly.

Sceptile suddenly disappeared as soon as Electivire got in close and reappeared behind the Electric-Type and fired a vortex of glowing green leaves.

"Counter that Leaf Storm with Giga Impact!"

"Let's match it, Double Edge!"

Electivire charged through the flurry of glowing leaves as he was covered by a purple and golden aura.

After seeing Electivire charge through his attack, Sceptile stopped his Leaf Storm attack and charged forward as well, but not without momentarily glowing a bright white.

The two Pokemon collided and reeled back from the impact. Electivire quickly fell onto one knee and he was recovering while on the other hand, Sceptile was still standing, although it wasn't long until the Hoenn Starter felt the recoil and collapsed.

"Sceptile, return! You deserve a rest, great battling out there. Well, it's up to you; Infernape, I choose you!" Ash called out his last Pokemon.

"You still kept that weakling? This should be over quick! Electivire, Thunder!"

"Mach Punch," Ash said quietly.

Infernape quickly closed the distance between himself and Electivire and punched the Electric-Type hard across the face, not giving it a chance to retaliate.

Electivire was pushed back by the Mach Punch so hard that it collided with the stadium wall behind Paul, and after the dust cleared, it was obvious that Electivire was unconscious.

"Hmph. Torterra, standby for battle!"

"Infernape, let's show'em what you can do!"

Infernape nodded and let out an ear-piercing scream. Infernape's flame crown then grew stronger and stronger, and with each passing second, the flame started to spread all over the Starter's body.

"Blaze?!" Paul exclaimed in astonishment.

"That's right Paul…you didn't think Infernape could master Blaze to this extent, did you? Well, surprise! Infernape, use Flamethrower!"

Infernape took a deep breath and unleashed an immensely bright beam of red light from his mouth.

"Shit! Torterra, block it with Rock Climb!"

Torterra raised his two front legs and slammed them on the ground, causing a wall of earth and rocks to rise, blocking it from Infernape's Flamethrower.

"Infernape, let's step it up a bit."

As soon as Ash said those words, Infernape's Flamethrower doubled in size and instantly broke through the Rock Climb wall, striking Torterra and melting some rocks in the process.

"Earthquake!"

"Mach Punch and then go in for a Flare Blitz!"

Infernape closed the distance between him and Torterra and delivered a swift but solid punch. Infernape jumped into the air and covered himself in bright blue flames, prepared to ram into Torterra until the ground beneath them gave out.

Coming out of the ground was Silver sitting on the shoulder of Hoopa.

"You think you could get rid of me THAT easily?!" Silver asked in a screaming voice.

"I swore I killed you!"Paul screamed back.

"You didn't...I escaped and while Tobias was killed, I managed to escape underground. And I couldn't have come at a better time, all of Tobias's Pokemon are fighting Ketchum's, your Pokemon are out, and Mewtwo is occupied right now," Silver explained.

"Torterra, Crunch!"

Torterra bent all four legs and propelled itself into the air preparing to bite Hoopa.

"Child's play, Dark Pulse!"

Hoopa aligned two of its rings with the hole in the middle of its body. From the hole of its midsection came multiple dark rings of energy that easily repelled Torterra.

"Infernape, Flare Blitz!"

Infernape covered his entire body with bright blue flames and blasted off the ground, heading towards Hoopa and Silver.

"This is just sad….use Psybeam!"

Hoopa fired a multicolored beam from the large hole on its body at Infernape. Despite being known as a mediocre attack, the Psybeam pushed Infernape easily despite the Flare Blitz being powered up by Blaze, something Ash picked up on.

"If we're going to have a chance at beating Silver, we have to fight together Paul!"

"Never! I'm not weak like you!" Paul reached into his jacket and brought out a familiar purple/pink bottle.

"Where did you get that?!" Silver asked bewilderedly.

"It was in Tobias's cloak when I attacked him. I'm guessing this is very important to you if you're so afraid of it!" Paul smiled wickedly, but that smile turned into a frown as soon as a blue blur snatched the bottle from his hands.

"Looking for this? Riley once told me about this item. It would have the power to release one of the most powerful Pokemon in existence and trap people in it for eternity. The people trapped would not have their bodies anymore but their emotions and aura would still exist inside the bottle," Ash said, opening the bottle and pointing it at Hoopa, Silver, and Paul.

The bottle started giving off a dark purple aura that shrouded the three opposing enemies and slowly pulled them closer.

"You're insane!" Paul and Silver shouted.

"You guys have been nothing but trouble for everyone here. Paul, you're just a power hungry fool; Silver, you're nothing but a revenge machine created by Giovanni…it's better this way," Ash said as the bottle sucked them all in.

Ash closed the bottle as soon as his opponents were inside, which caused the fight between the Legendary Pokemon to stop.

All the Legendary Pokemon looked around and finally sensed that the threat had already passed and began flying away, both Tobias's Pokemon and the Legendary Pokemon Ash and Gary assembled; in the process, Gary fell off of Lugia's back as Ash was returning Infernape.

"Gary!" Ash screamed.

Gary suddenly stopped midair, shrouded in a blue aura.

"Huh?" Gary wondered.

"Thank you for saving me…." Ash and Gary heard.

They two Pallet natives looked up and spotted Mewtwo, who was currently destroying the armor it was wearing.

"Thank you Mewtwo…" Gary said as he touched the ground.

Mewtwo merely nodded at Gary's gratitude.

"Hey Mewtwo, could you help us find our friends?" Ash asked.

"Consider it done," Mewtwo said, teleporting away.

"So what do we-AAHHH!" Ash suddenly screamed, falling onto his knees soon afterwards.

"What's wrong?!" Gary asked frantically.

That's when they both noticed it. A dark purple aura was coming out of the Prison Bottle and seeping into Ash's skin.

"Ash!" Gary yelled in worry.

Ash slowly stood up, with a dark aura surrounding him, and looked at Gary but this wasn't a friendly look. Ash's eyes were glowing red as he snarled at his childhood friend.

"What's wrong?" Gary asked cartefully.

"You will pay…Pikachu, time to battle…" Ash said, but it wasn't his voice. It was the voices of Silver, Paul, and Ash all merged into one.

"Pika?!/What?!" Gary and Pikachu exclaimed.

"You are my Pokemon…do as I say…" Ash said once again in his combined, yet monotonous, voice.

Pikachu complied and followed Ash's orders, getting into his battle stance.

"Umbreon, I choose you!"

"Pikachu, Thunder!"

Pikachu stood on his two hind legs and shot a lightning bolt into the air which caused a pillar of electricity to come out of the sky.

"Redirect it with Psychic!"

Umbreon's eyes glowed blue at the same time a blue outline of psychic energy shrouded the pillar of lightning and directed it towards Pikachu.

"Use it to power up your Iron Tail…"

Pikachu started sprinting off into the redirected Thunder attack. At the last second, the Electric-Type turned his tail into steel, as he continued on. The steel was able to attract the electricity and after each passing second, Pikachu's tail would grow larger and brighter.

"Umbreon, counter it with your own Iron Tail!"

The two Pokemon clashed. Tail against tail but not a moment sooner, Umbreon was blasted back by the power of Pikachu's attack.

"Let's finish this. Volt Tackle!"

"Protect!"

Pikachu began speeding towards Umbreon with unbelievable speed, all the while chanting its name and summoning a veil of electricity around its body. Umbreon saw the attack coming and erected a green barrier around it, hoping Pikachu would crash into it.

"Combine it with Feint!"

Pikachu suddenly disappeared into thin air and reappeared inside of Umbreon's green barrier. The Mouse Pokemon rammed into the Eeveelution, sending it flying.

"Umbreon! Quick, while you're in the air, use Moonlight!"

Umbreon quickly turned its body around so it was facing Pikachu, which was a difficult feat considering that the Dark-Type was in flying in the air. Umbreon closed its eyes and started glowing, indicating that Moonlight has started to take effect.

"Don't let it recover, Extremespeed!"

Pikachu vanished again but Gary was prepared for it this time.

"Swift!"

Umbreon fired multiple glowing stars all around the air; not caring where they end up. Suddenly, Pikachu appeared in front of the Dark-Type but was unable to finish delivering the attack because as Pikachu appeared, the Swift stars all directed themselves towards Pikachu, successfully causing the little mouse some damage.

"Dark Pulse and finish it with Dig!"

As Pikachu was falling, Umbreon formed rings of dark energy and blasted them all towards Pikachu, increasing the speed Pikachu was falling at.

While Pikachu was falling, Umbreon dived down and quickly dug a hole and came out of a spot on the ground Pikachu was directly under.

"Intercept with Volt Tackle!"

Pikachu quickly turned around so he was falling head first and formed a familiar golden aura around his body that met Umbreon's Dig attack head on, causing an enormous explosion.

When the smoke and dust cleared, the two Pokemon seemed to be knocked out.

"Umbreon, return!"

Ash slowly walked up to Pikachu and bent down to pick up the Electric-Type by the beck of his neck, only to toss him across the field into Gary's direction.

Luckily, Gary was able to catch Pikachu before the Starter got hurt.

"What's wrong with you?!" Gary shouted.

"Butterfree, I choose you…" Ash said once again in his monotonous voice, not even acknowledging what Gary said.

"Grr…..Arcanine, let's do this!" Gary shouted in rage as he threw the Pokeball of the Fire-Type onto the field.

"Tailwind…"

"No you don't! Arcanine, use Extremespeed!"

In an instant, Arcanine rammed into Butterfree from where it previously stood; as Butterfree was sailing through the air, he quickly flapped his wings to increase his speed with Tailwind.

"Flamethrower!"

"Dodge and use Twister."

Arcanine opened its mouth and unleashed a stream of flames towards Butterfree but thanks to Tailwind, the Bug-Type simply vanished and reappeared behind Arcanine, producing a vortex of immense pressure not soon after.

"Air Cutter."

Butterfree flapped his wings even harder and created multiple sharp blades made out of wind that were all headed towards the Twister.

"Arcanine, let's burn through that, use Flare Blitz!"

The Fire-Type growled slightly before igniting its body with bright blue flames and ramming through the walls of the vortex, only to be faced with multiple pressurized air currents coming towards it.

"Dodge them all with Extremespeed!"

The canine listened to its trainer and disappeared from plain sight, only appearing on random spots on the field from time to time in an effort to not get hit by Butterfree's Air Cutter.

"Use Ominous Wind…"

"Perfect! Let's use that, Heat Wave Arcanine!"

Arcanine opened its mouth and formed a ball of heat before exhaling strongly, which caused waves and waves of heat to collide with the purple gust Butterfree was unleashing.

The Ominous Wind only caused Arcanine's attack to grow stronger and stronger until it made contact with Butterfree, completely searing the Bug-Type.

"Return…"

"What? Return? Butterfree was one of your original Pokemon and so was Pikachu! Don't you have any guilt?!" Gary berated.

"Pidgeot, I choose-"

Before he was able to call out his next Pokemon, a blue aura was emanating from his chest and was gathering together to form a figure in front of the possessed Trainer.

"A Lucario?" Gary asked no one in particular.

The Lucario shaped aura placed its paw on Ash's chest, pulling out aura from the boy.

"What're you doing?" Gary asked, completely confused.

"It's better this way…" said the aura.

"What is? And what are you?"

"All you need to know is that I am Ash's friend. He once merged aura with me to save the Tree of Beginning and I was able to place a piece of my consciousness into him; however, he is beyond saving at this point…" Lucario's aura lamented.

"What're you talking about?!"

"I had been staying inside Ash this whole time, protecting him…how do you think he's survived so many dangerous situations."

"He's survived dangerous situations before you came along!"

"Pure luck or there had to be a Legendary Pokemon watching over him…"

At that moment, Gary realized that Lucario had a point.

'Mewtwo….Lugia…the time he was in Hoenn, Lance protected him from Groudon and Kyogre…' Gary thought.

"This really is for the best…I will be sealing away the dark aura but Ash's will soon depart this world. I wish it could remain but once someone has been possessed by the dark aura of the Prison Bottle, it will forever be tainted. The darkness of the aura will keep growing no matter how many times we have sealed it away."

Lucario finished sealing the dark aura into the Prison Bottle and created an aura barrier to protect it even more. What remains is a blue aura in its paw that began taking the shape of Ash's body.

"Ugh…what happened?" Ash questioned.

"You're going to disappear from this world shortly," Lucario said.

"Lucario?! What's going on?"

"Ash, you might wanna sit down for a minute…" Gary said as he took out a potion and began spraying Pikachu with it.

"Pikachu! What happened?!"

"Let me explain…" Gary said.

After explaining everything, Ash just stood there, staring at his body as it started to crystallize.

"Guess this is how it ends…" Ash murmured quietly.

"Guess so….who would've known we would go through all this…" Gary replied.

The four of them sat on the grass, Lucario, Gary, Pikachu, and Ash.

"I wish I could say goodbye to everybody…"

"You might just get to," a voice behind them said.

The four of them turned around and saw Mewtwo with all their friends.

"Guys…."

May, Brock, Max, Dawn, and Misty all ran forward to grab Ash but sadly just passed through him.

"He is pure aura, not like the aura you are familiar with. It is not possible to touch it without mastery over aura yourself," Lucario explained.

"Why…?" May asked.

"It's how things have to be. I can't stay alive or the dark aura will possess me again…I'm sorry," Ash replied.

"We're going to miss you Ash…." Dawn confessed as tears started to fall.

"We'll see each other someday…I'll be waiting for you guys on the other side, waiting for all the stories you have to tell me someday!"

"Goodbye Ash…" Max said.

"Bye Max, look after your sister for me, okay?"

Max merely nodded while rubbing his eyes.

"I'll be looking forward to seeing you again Ash," Brock said.

"Don't come after me too fast," the boy joked.

"My boy, you've made me proud…more than you'll ever know," Professor Oak spoke up.

"Thanks Professor…" Ash looked down and saw Pikachu, not daring to look at him in the eye.

"Pikachu, I want you to look after May, okay?"

Pikachu didn't look up but merely nodded.

"I'm sorry bud…we'll see each other someday, after all Lucario is here so that means wherever our aura goes, it goes to the same place…"

"Ash…." May stepped forward.

"I'm sorry May…I really can't stay…"

"I know….but tell your mom and dad I said 'hi', please?"

"I will…"

"It's time…" Lucario said as he and Ash's aura started to vanish.

"Goodbye everyone! I'll miss you!"

Nobody replied but everyone began weeping.

Ash suddenly found himself in a white room; there was nothing around.

"So this is where all people go…" Ash looked down, tears beginning to fall.

"I'll miss everyone…" the Trainer said shakily.

"You'll see them again someday son," a male voice said.

"But for now, why don't you tell us everything that's happened?" a female voice questioned.

Ash turned around and saw his parents, standing right in front of him.

"We haven't been able to move on until we see you again," Delia said.

"We stayed here waiting for you," Red followed up.

"Mom….Dad…" Ash whispered.

"We have all the time in the world, why don't you tell us all about the past three years?" Delia said.

"I'd like that…" Ash replied, walking towards his parents with an enormous smile on his face.

THE END!

So sorry guys! I've been disappearing again and again…hopefully that will be the last time cuz my laptop was stolen and I've been trying to raise the money through YouTube or something so I don't have to rent a computer in a computer shop. It's been really hard especially because I have to balance that, along with my thesis, and other things going on in my life too….
