A/N: Sorry I've been gone a while guys. I've got a bunch of Fairy Tail oneshot ideas (mostly NaLu), so expect them, but when I'm done, I'll get back to my other stuff (I just really want to get these out.)

Subtle

Seven years isn't subtle. Not at all. It's a long period of time, and they had just spent it outside of time. But, despite all odds – the entire Grimoire Heart Guild attacking, followed by the appearance of Acnologia – they made it back. Everything was as it should be.

Well, almost. The new guildhall was small, but they didn't care. A subtle difference to the partiers going all-out at their coming home celebration. The people had changed as well, some in small ways, others in big. Reedus was skinny now, Macao and Wakaba were older (but otherwise unchanged), Alzack and Bisca had gotten married and had a child! The young girl was playing with some of the lost-but-now-found group. Levy smiled at her when she paused in her running for a quick drink at the bar. Soon enough she was off, jumping to sit on Gray's bare shoulders.

Levy turned on her barstool and surveyed the rest of the guild. Cana was sitting on a table drinking from a barrel; Gray was reaching for the child on his back; Elfman was rambling on about being a man; Reedus sat painting, a smile on his face. Levy continued scanning the room, her eyes searching for one person in particular – and there he was, towards the center of the building. She watched him, dissecting him as he moved unknowingly in her gaze.

It was subtle, the way he threw his arm around her. It was subtle, the way his eyes lit up every time she smiled. It was subtle, the way his smile grew a little more each time she laughed. It was subtle, the way he brightened every time she looked his way. It was subtle, the look on his face softening ever so slightly when he stared at her without her knowing.

But not subtle enough.

Levy saw every moment, every motion, every glance. She knew what was happening - the Salamander had fallen for the Celestial Spirit mage.

And it's only a matter of time before she falls back, thought Levy as she turned back to her drink on the counter.
