G'day everyone. If I've shown up on your favourites/alerts list and you don't know who I am, my username was once James018. I changed it for consistency with other accounts.

I'm currently on hiatus from fan fiction, both reading and writing, due to other life commitments. I certainly intend to come back at some point (and may post a one-shot here or there if inspiration strikes) but don't hold your breath.

I've been a member of this site since my mid-teens, and my profile used to be a lot longer: it was once over 120,000 words, although, regrettably, I never did break the record held by 24hourstomakeadifference. I still keep the old stuff in a Word document for sentimentality's sake.

If you're here for my stories, I've posted a variety of one shots in different styles and genres. My one attempt at a chaptered story, Twist of Fate, was frankly not very good - although there are parts of it, particularly the final chapter, which I like. I've got some ideas for a redux of the story, for whenever I do return to writing.

A large contributor to my fanfic hiatus has been joining a Harry Potter roleplay on a Discord server, known as Model Hogwarts. I highly recommend it if you're at all interested in writing and the Harry Potter fandom. The community is incredible and the writing is high-quality. I've certainly become better at writing and character development as a result of joining.
