Mermaids

Creatures of the sea and visitors of land, mermaids are known for their aquatic abilities (From talking to sea creatures to controlling water.). They’re playful creatures that are very caring. In order to be able to leave the water and to walk on land, a mermaid has to give up a talent or a sense that they have (smell, touch, sight, hearing, and taste.). Their Aquatic abilities can span from controlling water, freezing it, evaporating it, or even controlling blood, etc. During the full moon, if a mermaid looks at it they’ll be in a trace becoming an alternative version of themselves and seductive. They won’t remember what they did during the full moon if they happen to look at it.

The Seas are divided into four Districts: Craven's Isle, Triggsford, Etchings, and Wyrd.

The Craven’s Isle District is known for their criminal activity and black market sells. Have a twisted perspective of being playful and caring, and usually uses their abilities for darker intentions. This turns mermaids into Sirens, flesh-hungry mermaids that must feed every month or suffer a slow and painful death.

Triggsford District is the rich District where the noble family lives and where Queen Aspasia grew up in. It’s plentiful with resources that keep the Meerjungfrau Seas running successfully.

Etchings District is the animal district, the mermaids here are the caretakers of all sea creatures. The mermaids are more attuned to their ability to commute with all sea animals, they’re considered the Tamers of creatures.

Wyrd District is the poorest district close to the Menschlich Kingdom, deeply affected by the human’s pollution. Because of this, their mermaid form is very ugly and even deformed. They are also very sickly, not a lot of Wyrd mermaids survive to live in their thirties. This causes a lot of hatred amongst the Wyrd mermaids and humans. Both the Human and Mermaid noble family try to amend things between their nations but even they bump heads.

Humans

Consider normal amongst the nations, Humans have the gift of seeing the future and reading tarot cards. They’re considered lucky and aren’t taken very seriously due to their short life spans compared to the other species.

The Menschlich Kingdom is split up into four Districts: Roseacre, Janholt, Springley, and Dorholt. Unlike the other nations, these Districts are split up depending on what type of hybrid there are.

The Roseacre District is where the humans and Fairy hybrids live. The other hybrids that live in this district are Fairy/Troll and Fairy/Mermaid. Despite being a very exclusive realm, fairies are known to procreate with humans more than either Troll or Mermaid. The different types of fairies cause a great mixture of hybrids that strangely enough have one power from each parent that gets dilated over the generations.

The Janholt District is where humans and Mermaid hybrids live. This district is closer to the ocean and is very eco-friendly. Unlike full blooded mermaids, mermaid hybrids don’t earn their forms until they’re sixteen under a full moon. All mermaid hybrids have some form of control of water and they also are affected by the full moon like full blooded mermaids. Human-Mermaid hybrids don't gain a lot of human abilities, mostly just loving aquatic life. Troll-Mermaid hybrids have dual-powers of each parentage up til their 21st birthday where they have to choose one or another.

The Springley District is where humans and Trolls hybrids live. Depending on the species, Troll/Human hybrids powers are wide and far but they can escape the side effects of having those powers. They are still picky eaters and like to walk around without socks and shoes, and are very nature attuned.

The Dorholt District is exclusively humans only. Is one of the few places that have modern buildings and continues to grow and progress faster than any other community.

Trolls

Have the most range of powers. From moving the earth to telepathic, they live in mountains and are the furthest thing away from technology. They are very attuned to nature, believing in energies and karma. Unlike the stories of trolls, these beings are actually quite beautiful. Depending on what the troll does, their height varies. All trolls hate wearing shoes and socks, preferring to go barefoot wherever they go, and they are also incredibly picky eaters. Trolls practice changelings, switching out human or fairy children with troll ones so they can experience other cultures for most of their childhood, or protect them from a danger that’s happening from home. Most changelings know that they are changelings and have been told of their family, growing up. Trolls see their gifts as cursed because the more they use them, the shorter their life spans are but if they don’t use them, it can cause something as minor as migraines or even drive them insane. The average lifespan of a troll is 35 years old.

Tlaxcala is the capital of Cantarolar and the official powerhouse of the Troll Realm. They are average height and very powerful with the most effective curse. They are into trinkets and jewelry and looking the part of royalty. They have the most changelings in their district, so that they don’t use their powers until adulthood. Sometimes situations can change, thrusting the child back home and forcing them to learn their powers faster for protection. The House of Uhur are considered the royal family here.

Escutcheon is a close-by district to Tlaxcala, this supplies the realm with their trackers. Tracker Trolls are tall athletic non-magical creatures that have superhuman physical agility and senses. They bring home changelings and help them adjust to the troll way of life. Trackers are considered the bottom of the social ladder and only allowed to be with their own kind or other species. This doesn’t stop forbidden love though.

Menagerie is a district of violent trolls that have powers that does not affect the aging or sanity of their being. This has caused them to be casted out and hated. They’re not short like the Tlaxcala trolls and are relatively the same height as Escutcheon trolls. The downside of these trolls are that they are very infertile and when they are able to bear children they either come out like beautiful and gifted or deformed and talentless. They’re always on the tip of extinction but not necessarily. Because of this they do not practice the Changeling Ways keeping their young close to home.

Harbardsljod district is found in the coldness of Mount Elodie, the first Queen of Cantarolar. They control all things cold: ice, snow, weather, temperature manipulation etc. They are even more isolated than the rest of the Troll population. They are cold creatures that they can get easily sick if placed in another environment, which is why they rarely leave home.

Fairies

The only realm with their own society. Would’ve been content with being isolated if it had not been the war that ended tying them together with the other realms. While the majority have wings there are some that do not depending on their place in society. Their powers are consecutive of the mind and nature. Districts are divided by the species of fairies and even further divided by social class. Each District has a noble house of a famous fae. They claim to be related to these fae and as such have divine blood. Every three hundred years, Noble houses rotate their position of power to keep balance and lessen revolution. The house in power right now is the House of Erinduis.

Vixeny Court is the oldest and most proper of the fairies. It’s not really known how these beings came to be only that you should avoid them when you can. They love binding people to debts they can never repay. They are cruel and vicious and have an odd sense of humor. They are the ones that trick humans to dance to their deaths, and have the food that can make humans do despicable things. They are a very sophisticated and tricky bunch, good with riddles and binds. Vixeny fairies have animalistic features whether it’s having a tail or ears or eyes, etc. The house of this District is the House of O'rania, descendants of Morgan Le Fay, the first goddess of the fae.

Aelland Court is the district that has limited abilities, such as keen intelligence and superhuman physical agility and senses. They are more prone to use spells than their own magic since they are very limited due to the fact that their wings have been ripped off. This happened during the War Of Aahr, when Aelland had an unsuccessful rebellion against Vixeny, it was a war to claim the city Aahr, a sacred city that still belongs to Vixeny. As punishment Vixeny stripped Aelland of their wings and right to be called fairies. Now the district refers to themselves as elves, due to their ears and lack of wings. The House of Jarylor, descendants of Titania, the first foolish queen of the fae.

Oldlyn Court is a newer district than the others claiming to be related to the mother of all fae, Mab. The other three noble families were dubious seeing as they already had a House of Titania and House of Oberon. So to put away the doubts, Vixeny made the claimers do Seven trials to determine whether they were liars or not. Much to the dismay of Aelland and Linley, Oldlyn was indeed the descendant of Mab. This gives them more power than Linley and Aelland, and makes them equal to Vixeny if not more so powerful. Fairies here are considerably shorter than the other fairies. They are very persuasive beings that have the ability to heal or poison with a single touch depending on the situation. They’re the only fairies that eyes glow when performing any type of magic. Their wings are covered with paralyzing dust that can be released when they feel like they’re in danger. The House of Harpereth, descendants of Mab, the mother of all the fae.

Linley Court is considered the friendly district to the other realms, willing to work with them. This makes them weak and pathetic to the other districts. This district is known for their mind powers which vary from illusions, telekinesis, and telepathy. They wear lots of protective jewelry out of superstition and caution. They are currently the powerhouse of the Fae Realm and have been for about 200 years, making their rule coming to a close. The House of Erinduis, descendants of Oberon, the first useless king of the fae.

Clans

These are three clans that reserve their brightest, most powerful, or greatest potential people in order to keep and protect certain history and powers, so it can be continuously passed down. Humans are the only ones without a clan, trusting libraries and hearsay to pass down their history rather than have it stored where it is in a sacred place like the others. They live on the outskirts of Ichreave, the land is called Eleslens. Eleslens is divided up into three cities, the three clans.

Fee: Both the council of the fairy realm and the clan that resides in the city of Anspolis. They exist for the sole purpose of not allowing the current powerhouse to change laws or anything that would affect the noble families' lines. They are a relatively small community because they are incredibly selective with their pickings. The city is split between the council and the teachers and students. Once invited into the clan, the place becomes their home and the only time they leave is for Competitions or Selections.

Trullan: The oldest clan to exist even older than the monarchy. Have even powers that rival the Fee clan, though the fairies will never admit this. The clan is disliked in the troll community because it has the solution to the side effects of using the powers, but they refuse to give it up. Saying that there must be a balance for their powers. They monitor the changelings closely and any that show potential are immediately taken from their homes and placed into the community, without asking either parents' permission. The name of their city is Encebus.

Ataratheh: Unlike the other two clans, Ataratheh is not only for the elite amongst mermaids but it’s also a university for up and coming mermaids. This makes the city of Osam, the largest city in Eleslens. Also unlike the other two clans, Ataratheh allows their Elite and common merfolk to communicate and be with one another. What also makes this city unique and interesting is that it’s not placed in the natural habit of mermaids. Built like a City-suburban place, it leaves room for people to stay and create lives there if they choose to.

Elbya an African country a history of being allies. Only been in war once back in 1977. Little to no conflict.

Ethiopia-Somalia

Ethiopia-Somalia an African country that has been fighting against each other since the countries has been created. Ethiopia won a recent war against Somalia, and combined the two countries to strengthen population, army, and resources. Ethiopia won with the help of Imperial Japan, New Asia, Illea, and Swendway. Country is unstable from constant civil wars.

Resources: Gold, platinum, copper, potash uranium, iron ore, tin, gypsum, bauxite, copper, salt and natural gas.

Angobia (Angola-Zambia)

Angobia is one of the many countries in Africa, thriving on resources. Leading in Eco-friendly environment and advanced technology, many countries have tried to become allies but Angobia stay isolated. The world is confused to why this country have agreed to participate in Illea’s Selection, after such a long time being quiet and successful.

Resources: Phosphates, iron ore, diamonds, petroleum, bauxite, uranium, feldspar, copper, cobalt, zinc, lead, coal, gold, silver, hydropower, tin, nickel, Natural gas, and emeralds.

Islands

Malanesia (Malaysia and Indonesia)

History: Malaysia and Indonesia is one of the most important alliances in Southeast Asia. So I'm guessing it's beneficial to Asia, so surrounding countries make sure that they get along as much as they can. They have similarity in language, culture, and religion. It's the only things that they agree on. They have diplomatic spats. They were once one country but they gained independence awhile back. When they did that their social, economic, and political development have went opposite ways causing tension between the countries. Malaysia tries to keep the peace while Indonesia inflame the tension. Attempted to ease tension within the country by having a dual-ruling. A work in progress: Monarchies have a hard time agreeing with what to do what’s best for their country.

New Caledonia

Once a French territorial island, now a newly independent island enriched with natural resources. Found in Pacific Ocean next to the Oceania Union. The monarchy has been ruling for about a century now.

Maldives

A small country that is made up of 1,000 islands in the Indian Ocean that is 1,360.30 mi from land. Not a lot is known about Maldives, only that it appears to be becoming a futuristic Atlantis.

South American Countries

Bolivia

Having always being the poorest country in South America, the only hope that the country had was to finally gain all of Gran Chaco instead of having 1/3 of it. Constantly at war with Paraguay with the help of Argentina Realm. Most of its money goes to funding this endless war.

Resources: Gold, lead, silver, antimony, tungsten, zinc, petroleum, natural gas and tin.

Paraguay:

History: Enemy of Bolivia and the third poorest in South America. Has 2/3 of Gran Chaco and have been struggling to keep ahold of those 2/3s. Allies with Brazillian Empire keeps the Bolivia for winning but lives the countries at a stalemate.

Resources: imber, iron ore, manganese, limestone, clay and gypsum,uranium, bauxite, copper, salt, marble, and peat.

European Country

Romania

A relatively quiet country that usually sticks with arranged marriages to keep them relevant.

Resources: coal, iron ore, copper, chromium, uranium, antimony, mercury, gold, barite, borate, celestine (strontium), emery, feldspar, limestone, magnesite, marble, perlite, pumice, pyrites (sulfur), clay, arable land, hydropower.

Asian Country

Kazakhstan

Sandwiched between Russia, New Asia, and Council of the Middle East, Kazakhstan is at high risk of being a warzone between the rising tension of the three superpowers.

Prince Calder (20): Illea’s Golden Boy. On camera and on paper, he’s perfect in every way from his charm to his smile and style. He’s everything that the country wants in a King. Nothing seems amiss with him. . .

Prince Olsen (19): Illea’s Bad Boy. Rude to reporters, always caught in a scandal and in every picture includes him having bloody knuckles. Not allowed to talk during the Report but still a fan favourite for the girls of Illea.

Princess Charissa (18): A fashion icon but other than that hides from the camera. Not much is known about Charissa, other than what her family says about her. Which is funny, sarcastic, an absolute sweetheart. Allegedly, Charissa leaves the castle often than the public is led to believe.

Queen Kerttu (40): Has been ruling for 19 years now with her husband, Theodore. A quiet queen that hasn't done anything big with her rule but it's been peaceful under her reign. She's known for opening orphanages and pet shelters.

Prince Consort Theodore (43): A charming man that's always in front of the cameras. He appears to be very nice, always donating or helping a cause, very much a people person. Through some have speculated the distance between him and his family, and rumours do come about every so often.
