Author has written 11 stories for Naruto, Shokugeki no Soma/食戟のソーマ, Fairy Tail, My Hero Academia/僕のヒーローアカデミア, One Piece, and Game of Thrones. Welcome to my Profile Page! I have been a lurker for as long as I remember; finally began writing though! Thanks to all my betas who spent the time to make my story(ies) better! For those of you who found me through one of my stories, take a read below! Also, does this line make you cringe: I will defiantly do it, no doubt. If it does, well me too! Read on for fun! Also, I usually reply to my PM's within 10-15 minutes if I am at my computer, if I don't reply for days, that probably means I read it on my phone while I'm doing something else and forgot entirely :(. If y'all really want to talk to me feel free to send another pm! About me Age: Some random number between 0-100, nah I'm just kidding I'm not that edgy, I'm 22 XD Gender: Male Favourite fandom: Fairy Tail, although BNHA is a close second. Country of Residence: Canada Timezone: PST Likes: Organizing my stuff, scrolling through amazon, anime, food, WORLD BUILDING, working out until I literally collapse, and most of all Dank Memes! Dislikes: Fanfiction where Grammar doesn't exist, when 'defiantly' is used instead of 'definitely' (this one makes me cringe hard), harem fics with no build up (I mean come on if you going to write a harem fic try to make it believable), heavy amounts of snow, and most of all not being able to sleep in :(. Reviews And here's something concerning 'REVIEWS', which I copied from 'First Story' who copied from 'Kyouka Suigetsu Totsuka' who copied from 'Heartless demon wolf' - etc. Writers- all of them, from famous authors to subtle FF writers- ALL depend on the feedback from our readers. Vision Dominican brought up an interesting albeit tragically true idea: "Lack of reviews is the greatest killer of fan fic writers out there. We at the institute wish to let the public know of how they can pitch in to save our dying writers. 1) Drop a review every other chapter. It may not seem like much, but reviews are actually what many of us want to see. That, and hits. Hits do make us happy but we don't really know if people like our story or not. 2) Visit our author page. Those kind of hits really make us happy. It's where we showcase our entourage of friends, beta readers, and stories. Some of us even tidy up with set areas for upcoming story ideas and character bios. 3) Send an email. While normally I'd prefer a review, emails are just as good. Really, it warms my heart to communicate with another reader or writer." 4) Good or bad tell us your thoughts! Feedback is far greater than silence! What you call being "too lazy to review" is what we call "a flame to the pages" as the writers. That one minute or two that you felt "too lazy" to review is another minute of creeping discouragement that all writers feel as they begin to think... "Why am I even here…?" "What's even the point of continuing?" "My skills must be terrible…no one cares for my story…" "I'll never be a good writer...I quit." These are only a few thoughts that go through every writer's head- that go through MY head- when we put out a chapter / story with all our heart and soul within, and we sit there…and sit…and wait…and not a single person says even a word. If you're not a writer, you have NO IDEA how much that hurts… If you ARE a writer, then I'm sure you know just how great it feels when someone is kind enough to leave a heartwarming and encouraging review, and you read it, smiling while thinking…"Wow…fuck...I did it…" So, why not give fellow writers the same luxury here? Too many times I've seen epic and utterly beautiful works of literary art fall to pieces before finally being abandoned due to the terrible discouragement that the lack of reviews can cause. Sometimes, it is so severe that the very writer himself decides to quit, denying the world his skills of writing that I'm it would have deeply enjoyed. So… Just one minute, that's all it takes. Just a few gentle taps of the fingers on your keyboard, a few seconds or so of your time, and your words can SAVE a writer from a dark demise. Do me a favor: Go find a story, ANY story, anywhere here on Fanfic, net, and see if you can help it. If it has very little / no reviews at all, just check it out, and say whatever comes to mind. And enjoy the thought in mind that you could have just SAVED that story, with just a few taps of the keyboard… If you agree with what I have said then please copy and paste any part of this story you wish onto your profile. Modify it in any way you see fit; there is no need to use my exact words. You make it say what you want it to say. Rise of the Light Bringer My story, Rise of the Light Bringer, is my pride and joy :). I have never put this much passion and work in this story and I asked many betas to help me make it perfect :). My story focuses on the expanded Fairy Tail world as well as some divergence because I wanted to expand on the relationships between certain characters! For those of you who wants to know what magic my OC uses, here's the list: Holy Light Magic: Due to his father's 'cirumstance' (don't want to spoil it here), he can use Holy Light Magic. This is pretty much normal light magic except its slightly buffed in all aspects as well as the ability to 'burn' darkness and demons alike. An example would be his Solar Wave spell which is just a regular beam of laser. Light Make: Although not an official term, it's Benjin's ability to materialize his light magic into constructs to aid him in battle and other stuff! Storage: Benjin's take on Requip magic! His mother, Rosalia Fettakin is a distant relative to Erza. This ability to come into play very soon! He can store near-unlimited amount of objects with much higher size boundaries by sacrificing speed and the ability to actually 'equip' the objects. Magic costs rise exponentially depending on object size and amount! This was heavily inspired by Gilgamesh's Gates of Babylon - when Benjin stores/retrieves items, it enters/exit the storage dimension using a rippling portal! This will become an offensive ability later on :). And one more magic that is not yet revealed :). I have other notes for other characters as well! But I will leave those for when the story progresses a bit further :). For those of you who reviews, followed, and faved this story, thank you so much! Really makes me happy that you took the chance to read a unpopular setting story regarding an OC-verse and the first parts of the story being filled with OC's! Compared to this story my Madara story is honestly just something I pulled out of my ass (but don't worry I actually put planning into it XD). P.S. - All my Fairy Tail stories will take place in what I call the Miniverse Fairy Tail! Remember, review, follow, fav! A God's Redemption For those of you who have taken the time to read 'A God's Redemption' - a crossover between Naruto and Fairy Tail featuring Madara, here are some interesting notes that you may find fun to read! 1) Madara Uchiha was reborn into the world as a baby! (For those of you who didn't know) No experimentation with kamui, seals, or meeting a 10/10 bombshell 'kami-sama' to 'seductively' give him a second chance! 2) Madara is still like himself from after the Shinobi War; although he has cooled down a little bit due to not having to conquer the world or constantly fight enemy shinobi! He is still a big introvert though :). 3) Madara has sort of a love/hate relationship with Ultear and Zancrow; similar to Erza and Gray/Natsu. 4) Normally Mages tend to learn only one type of magic (although they can learn multiple forms of the same branch - ex. Makarov knowing light magic and titan magic which by his aura I assume is light based - pretty sure he knows more though). But anyway since Madara is OP I decided to make an exception - due to his powerful soul it allowed him to learn magics; even though he doesn't have the Rinnegan he still kept some of his aptitudes towards battle :). 4.5) Madara's Magic list! Fire Magic: Madara wouldn't be Madara without his Great Fire techniques - now he has them...magicfied! Wind Magic: Just a little thing I gave him to buff up his fire, pretty much a fun replacement for techniques he can no longer use :( - ex. Asura path, limbo, sage mode, truth seeking balls, etc - I can't think of a realistic way for him to regain some of them). Madara normally uses this magic to strengthen his fire techniques or to help him move around! Arc of Construction: Since Madara was born with massive amounts of magic, his infant body wasn't able to handle the strain :(. However, his powerful Indra soul allowed his body to be healthy, but his magic was still in conflict which caused him to not be able to use it properly. After he was implanted with a Lacrima that Hades had, Madara could freely use his magic as well gaining access to the AoC! Arc of Construction allows Madara to materialize his magic as blue constructs and can also mentally give the construct commands. The constructs move as if they are Madara themselves physically and can synchronize with each other to better follow Madara's commands. This magic allows Madara to create his clones, and most importantly, Susanoo :). Amateratsu Formula Seals: During the 6 year time skip, Madara focused a lot of his time learning the seals. He knows a lot more than what is shown so far but since only two formulas were shown in the manga a lot of the ones he will use will have to be original :(. Basic Magic Boost: Madara just pumps magic into parts of his body to enhance strength, endurance, and speed - this is a technique easily used by any mage in my fanfic-verse for fairy tail. Arc of Manipulation: Bluenote's Magic (I wanted to buff Bluenote a bit). The following is exactly from the story itself: Arc of Manipulation: A superior form of the more common 'Gravity Magic', Arc of Manipulation is a magic that allows the user to manipulate the physical forces that act upon the world around them. This allows the user to manipulate gravity in all directions, while normal Gravity Magic can only be used to force objects downwards. With enough power, a master of this magic would be capable of compressing gravity to the point it could bend space itself. This magic is extremely difficult to learn, even the most talented of mages take up to ten years to properly master this magic and even longer to muster the strength required to perform spells capable of manipulating entire islands or mountains. Arc of Manipulation - Grand: A even higher form of Arc of Manipulation. The Arc of Manipulation - Grand is a category that was created by users who had mastered this magic to the point where they could affect other magic. Users of this can make any physical spell completely useless by manipulating its force to either negate it or redirect it… Madara has not completely mastered this magic yet, although he has a good amount of skill in AoM, he cannot use AoM: Grand yet! Madara's magic power is not supremely OP because he never really focused on raising it alone. His learning of multiple magics did raise his magic but not exponentially. Similar to doing combat forms with the physical body instead of push ups. Chef Ramsay This was an idea that was 'cooking' in my head for a while. Ok sorry for the rubbish pun, but anyways I always imagined what it would be like if Gordon Ramsay played a role in Shokugeki no Soma. But then I thought, wait Gordon Ramsay isn't Japanese and would make 0 sense if he were a Totsuki Alumni! I didn't want to just write another OC Joichiro/Souma copy like I've seen in some other stories; so I was like, why not? Jack Ramsay is really just an OC slapped on with Gordon's actual son's name for familiarity (didn't want people being like wait Gordon's son's name isn't Bob or some thing" It was kind of a Grey Area as you can't use real people but then reality TV personalities and the swearing Gordon so I'll just leave it at that for now. Anyways, about the story: Gordon Ramsay He is his hell's kitchen and kitchen nightmare self. Which means lots of swearing, lots of insults, and lots of screaming. Jack in my story inherits this and is going to shit on the dummy cooks, (the 2 guys that put salt into Soma's pot for example). Jack Ramsay: Gordon's real son, but with an OC personality. He swears a lot but reels himself back around his father because Gordon doesn't like his kids swearing around him despite him doing it himself (kind of a hypocrite right there). Jack is socially awkward as the people in his group are all snobbish elitist and he himself spends the majority of his time cooking. For the most of his life, he has only served one customer - his father. Despite working in many of his restaurants, Gordon would not let him actually serve the food unless it passed his standards. Pairing - ??? The Nothing Dragon Slayer's Misadventures in Fairy Tail There is nothing much to stay about this story other than it is the biggest pile of shit dragged out from my large intestines. I had nothing better to do with my life and decide to just post the greatest hunk of garbage second only to harem stories. It is a self-insert story in which I am sent to another world through a fat fuck god where the only thing I do is fuck with canon and the plot. Minipa's Trope Discussions and How to Not Suck Shit at Writing Originally part of the Nothing Dragon Slayer's story, this story was moved in favour of having its own separate entity. Naruto fanfictions, Naruto Crossovers, Fairy Tail fanfictions are all filled to the brim with horrible stories such as harem, god-like, bash, fatalist, time-travel, and many more! This story is dedicated to educating the masses on just why these stories are popular and will cover each and every individual aspect, trope, and cliche that these stories use. Will be talking how to avoid writing them, how to avoid reading, how to discourage such practices and to prevent them in your own writing! Minipa's Trope Discussions and How to Not Suck Shit at Writing - BNHA After seeing some of the BNHA fandom, I decided to do a Trope Discussions version of it! Might as well be Fanfiction Sins (don't want to rip that off though xd). While nowhere near as horrible as OC Mary Sue Nonsensical dragon slayers, BNHA has its own share of horribleness as well. This includes the unimaginative quirks, overpowered quirks, and just like Fairy Tail, the bad writing (although in my observations I saw that it wasn't as bad as the stuff I read in FT). So for those of you that read the original, read on for specific fandom tropes! For those of you that haven't take a look at the original first! Fanfiction Dislikes Below are some of the things I read in fanfiction that I absolutely detest! It could be grammar, presentation, story settings, cliches, etc! Note: Writers can write anything they want, this is just my opinion for stuff I dislike. But if people are still offended by what I put down then please take a seat in the corner of your safe space! 1) Writing 'defiantly' instead of definitely. Jesus Bloody Christ. I cannot emphasize enough the amount of cancer that grows on my body every time I see this in a story. If I encounter this in any fanfiction UNLESS it has an amazing story, then I immediately stop reading. It is not that difficult, proof read once to fix it and no one typos definitely into defiantly. Definitely: Without doubt. Defiantly: With bold disobedience. LEARN THE FUCKING DIFFERENCE! 2) Over usage of non-canon gags (or Fangags). Ex. Random sneezing to signalize talking about someone. Ex2. Random feeling about someone doing something to offend the certain character. Ex3. Sandaime Hokage banging his head on the table when main character tells him shadow clones can be used to cut down the work. Ex4. Every fucking OC reacts to Erza the same as Natsu. These jokes are funny once in a while but when ten of them are used every chapter it becomes redundant and annoying. Males getting whipped by females - for those of you who think I am a misogynist CIS white male scum for saying that, please go sit in the corner of your safe space. Everybody LOVES super strong bad ass characters cower in fear of 1/10 strength females! No. For some characters it works, Ex. if Jiraiya got together with Tsunade it would be like that - cause Tsunade can BLOW A FUCKING HOLE THROUGH A MOUNTAIN, SHIT THAT'S FUCKING TERRIFYING. But one with Itachi. Really? Madara. Serious-fucking-ly? Not EVERY woman in anime is a fucking tsundere violent and sadistic fuck head that everyone just loves to portray them as. "No men are afraid of their wives, there are only men that respect their wives." - Donnie Yen/Ip man. 3) Harem Fanfiction (90% of them) - Mainly about Naruto/Naruto Crossovers First of all, please no clan restoration bull shit for naruto harem-fics. The thing about harem-fics is that barely any of them are believable; maybe if it was between two woman it would be believable for the three of them to love. However, these is no ten self-fulfillment bullshit sharing crap ESPECIALLY with Naruto. Naruto was dense pretty much until he turned 19 and even then he was still pretty dense. One doesn't simply go from that to A FUCKING CASANOVA because of one world war battle - if anything that should have gave him a very pessimistic or whimsical outlook on life and potentially PTSD cause, I don't know. A BUNCH OF HIS FUCKING FRIENDS DIED? Many people like reading Harem Fics cause you know, self-fulfillment and to escape reality, epitome of insecurity, etc. My issue is that they don't make it believable. PLEASE if you are writing a harem-fic, add some transition, build-up or some other bullshit backstory that makes the characters willing to share ONE person. And none of that 'nice guy smile instant crush blush', I get it, it's fanfiction, but it's still cancer. Naruto just isn't the type to be able to woo 10 women within a week then find a way for all of them to accept getting 1/10 of the guy they 'love'. OC Harem-fics: Need I say more? The fact this is even a thing is cancer by itself. Probably written by a school girl or a single 30 year old man that doesn't actually have a life. Yes, a fucking ugly introvert suddenly becomes 6'3, blonde, hot, and OP after dying because apparently doing jack shit in life and not being a prick means you deserve a second chance. SI OC harem - cancer x2. HAREM WRITERS - IDC IF YOU HAVE TO BULLSHIT A BACK STORY, AT LEAST GIVE ONE OR DON'T WRITE IT AT ALL. 4) Cliches - Seriously at least change the words a little bit or pull some shit out of your ass to make it different. a) New World Crossovers: Yes I get it you need to put your character into another fandom, but seriously, do you have to use the die and meet a 10/10 female kami-sama to do it? And when that happens, what's with all the age regression? Like age-regression might as well be a requirement for dimensional hopping. Time travel I can understand because the consciousness is sent back, not the person itself - paradox avoidance. You could spend a little more work to world-build them being born into the new world, or for the character to be born in the fandom, period. For example, Naruto being born in the Grand Line but it's not just an OC slapped on with the name Naruto to get more views. There are more ways to put a character into another world WITHOUT meeting A SEXY FEMALE GOD - and no, saying god takes a pleasurable form won't make it better. If that's the case, why doesn't kami-sama take the form of Jiraiya, A huge bowl of ramen, or even Minato when Naruto 'dies?' considering how fucking dense he was. Ex: Reborn as a baby, consciousness sent into another child that's dying, waking up through a portal, getting a second chance through six paths sage (at least this shit isn't a repeated kami-sama), character born into the world in the first place with similar abilities to fandom - etc naruto with a wind devil fruit in one piece then Kurama can be a fucking man with a fox fruit - KURAMA DOES NOT NEED TO BE AN ACTUAL FUCKING FOX BUT SECRETLY A KITSUNE. b) Random Bullshit Training: Huh? Why is this even a thing? Yes I know you want a backstory to up the power level of a character so he can be equal/OP to the other characters. But seriously? Random scene skips of training in one chapter? Wow, I know you're lazy but not that lazy. Guy gets found with new power, 1000 words later, suddenly OP as fuck. Cancer. Just cancer. Like a good transition of this can be done in like 4K-5K words. If you're too lazy go take one from another fanfic and copy paste it, better then posting garbage. A good example would be many NarutoxFairyTail crossover stories or even OC stories where a dragon randomly shows up and buffs them up to Erza level. If you are going to add a new chracter, add some substance or struggle! Maybe 10,000 words of training, side mission showing his progress or even just use Naruto's current set of abilities (but not with every fucking gan and every blood line). c) Overused Ideas: Ex. Lucy Leaves guild cause Lissana comes back, Naruto neglected, Naruto finds fox cause of beatings, Naruto getting stronger cause Kurama, Random ass fucking UZUMAKI NAMIKAZE SENJU UCHIHA KURAMA HYUUGA SANDERS TRUMP CLINTON Naruto BULLSHIT. Seriously that's how stupid it sounds, either do one/two or the others. If you are going to use a cliche setting, at least add your own flare. Doesn't have to be a full change, just not the exact same shit. Lucy leaves guild, gets stronger, joins saber tooth. Lucy leaves guild, randomly dragon queen, what? You could do something like: Lucy leaves guild, goes to a different country and finds blah blah blah, nearly killed but trains to get blah blah blah, goes back home to reminiscence and blah blah blah. If I can pull the sentence above from my ass in 5 seconds then you can do it with 10000 words and a week. 5) Ships I have no issue with ships themselves, its the cancerous presentation of the writers that kill me. If you are going to write ships, ask someone for romantic advice, hell read a book about it - read some romance novels. None of that stupid kind guy smile one time love at first sight secret blushing shit. None of that say one bloody thing and every girl in the room loves them bullshit - this is the harem part but still ships. Ships is everyone's favourite thing to do, to see your favourite characters fall in love where the original author fucking HINTS, HINTS, TEASES, but never fucking does it until the very end. Seriously, we know they will get together just make them kiss or shut the fuck up and focus on the story. Now, BAD presentation kills romance. People don't fall in love in a fucking day, they don't all of a sudden 'I love naruto uzumaki...' No. No, no, no, no, No. Obviously you have never dated anyone if you think that shit is real. I have never dated anyone and I know that shit doesn't work like that. You could be a drop dead fucking model but all that's gonna get you without personality are lust feelings. a) Mass Ships: Don't try to romance like 20 people in one story. None of them will have proper development and you just get shit with no point and done badly. If the romance is important to your story - ex. inspires feelings later on, then be my guest, write it. But write it PROPERLY, good DEVELOPMENT, good TRANSITION. And remember, love is not some perfect dovey prince charming sing a song bullshit like they make it out as in disney movies. People fight. Couples fight. That's life. 6) The Sue Family Being a 'Sue' can mean many things, examples of this title are Marty Sue (for male characters), or Mary Sue (for female characters). If you managed to hold in your triggering until number 6 on this list of cancer, then we probably found something we can both agree on! The Stu family is more fucking cancer than the Bush family in America. The moment I spot someone from that retarded family I will purposely go terrorist and bomb your freaking house to smithereens, unless of course your Gary Stu is anti-explosion then there's nothing I can do. Everybody wants to make a character that's strong and independent, but remember: they are PEOPLE, not GODS, seriously I wrote a story with gods and even they aren't gary stu. Remember, characters have to be relatable - perfect, all-knowing, wise 15 year olds don't exist - no matter how tragic their back stories are. Here are some examples. a) Self-Inserts: an introverts greatest weapon against their insecurity (it should be talking to people but writing garbage works too). 90% of stories written in this category = rubbish. I have read some decent self-insert stories out there such as "this bites!". But many of them are pretty much rewrites of canon with no imagination. If you self-insert a story, you have to imagine yourself being into the world, you're not going to be some autistic shmuck that doesn't know how to do anything nor will you be a spineless shit that is afraid of their own shadow. True, if you were to wake up in Naruto in the middle of the war, you would be scared. But there ARE real soldiers who actually live in those fucked up conditions, and even the most shittiest of introverts will get used to it (especially if the self-insert doesn't die in the story). ANYWHO, the SI is NOT a god like, you do NOT gain every fucking power known to man or become randomly trained by the PLOT ARMOUR DRAGON. PLOT DRAGON ROAR: Immortality and invulnerability. 7) Pussy Fucking Shits (opposite of Stu family) Exactly as it means, a pussy fucking shit is someone who can't do ANYTHING. Pretty much a story told from the perspective of canon fodder. I don't know if this is your attempt at making a character relatable but not everybody are sociopatic, introvert, incompetent NEET's that can't do anything properly and also cry at everything. I've seen stories like this where the character develops gradually without being dragged on and on. I get that, many people struggle with self confidence and it's really a good journey. But big difference between real struggles and fucking MANCHILDS. 8) Shitty OC's Okay, I understand this part, it is difficult in writing a good character, especially if it is your first story and you are actually a 13 year old girl who dreams of LevixEren. When it comes to original characters, people have to remember, you are telling THEIR story, not telling the entire canon story with them in it. I have seen so many of these ESPECIALLY with OC Dragon slayer stories. Like seriously they are literally splitting off the dialogie/fighters from canon characters and giving that to their characters. And their personality...don't even get me started! It is always the generic shounen type! Literally a copy of Natsu/Grey, call each other dumb names, no other personality traits and OMG NAKAMA I AM SO STRONG SUPERMAN 1000X PHOENIX KING OP GOD LIKE ACNOLOGIA KAGUYA 1 QUINTILLION TAIL BEAST JUTSU. Did that give you cancer? Good because your story did too. a) OC Magics I have seen so many bloody OC's with just a generic slayer magic. Probably some random dragon slayer. Also the fuck is a technology dragon slayer? What the actual fuck is a technology dragon? Do you eat fucking computers? And what about the roar? Can I shove my phone down your OC's throat and that will fix it? Technology is not even a fucking tangible element. That is just an example of OC's, if you are going to do an OC dragon slayer, DON'T do some random intangible elemental or a concept, DON'T do an Ice dragon slayer paired with grey (almost as overused a Lucy leaving the guild), maybe forest dragon? Nature dragon? I've seen this one story where Laki was the (wood?) dragon slayer? Basically the dragon slayer would eat plants, roar plants, etc. It is a more complex element but it is definitely tangible and believable. b) Cliche number 1 - Literally just Natsu Not every OC needs to be scared of Erza/Mira the moment they walk in. You could write an OC that is as old as gildarts or some shit and has children Natsu's age that hangs with them? What the fuck is with OC's sharing fights with Natsu/Grey? Like this belittles the canon chracters and lessens the struggle. We see Natsu struggle against Erigor but if some guy was there and he had the same struggle, it would be pretty much a cannon fodder OC. c) OCxHarem No comments, if you write stories like this you would not listen anyway. Just kill yourself and be done with it. Anyways, back to the rants, go take your insecure fantasy greasy-haired cunt-faced introvert twat ass out of here. Instant crush blush teasing into harems don't exist. Like the actual F? The actual F? The. Actual. F. Crush blush is cancer, do not need, do not want, no. Embarassment is one thing, the crush blush is another. If you are on this website writing an SI, chances are, you probably don't have a girlfriend. And if you feel the need to defend yourself from this statement the one you have probably won't work out. Don't call call your story a self-insert if you are just going to max out all the physical settings on second life and just plant that shit right in there. d) Rewrite of canon (imagination please?) Some writers have very good grammar, character designs, dialogue - this is a trained/experienced writer. Some people simply just don't have the creativity to simply write canon divergent or make ripples, you can be the best in grammar/sentence structure and all out english professor but if you can't write, then you still can't write. For some writers, they escape rewriting canon fully by adding random original arcs in between to sort of offset the repeat. Some writers however, can actually rewrite pretty well which brings me back to the point - tell the story of your OC, not tell the story with an OC. I cannot think of any examples of this on the top of my head but if you want one where someone just rewrites the canon with their OC then just search 'Dragon slayer' then put the filters OC and Fairy Tail on. 9) Cancerous author's notes summaries (Y'all know what I'm talking about). Don't like Don't Read: This literally just says you cannot take flaming or even hell just constructive feed back. I mean if your grammar sucks and your story sucks you should maybe ask yourself why? There are indeed trolls out there that bash certain stories despite no error simply because the way the author writes (a style is not a fault) or they way he/she is writing the story (not horrible plot/pacing but just the way the story is going). However, there are people who have shit grammar, shit everything, shit story, shit plot, OOC with no clear indication on why, or all of the above. A good example would be "Uzukage's Dragon Sword." If you read the reviews, there are people saying 'MOOAARR', 'UPDATE PLEASE' and then there are people bashing the grammar, saying the story is bad, etc. I personally think that person should get a beta and at least fix the grammar issues. Understandably, there are trolls out there, but seriously read the story and see what you think. No Flaming: Similar to the above, says you can't take flaming or just constructive feed back. People ARE going to flame/troll you no matter what you write. It's not personal, some people have nothing better to do with their lives then write 'Fuck your story' on every single fic. HOWEVER, the people who give CONSTRUCTIVE feedback, PM'ing a 'Fuck you my story is good' does not do you any justice. If you're grammar sucks, than you're grammar sucks. You defiantly need to correct that. Did you like reading that above sentence? No? Then imagine reading an entire fucking chapter like that. Please give my story a try: This or some similar bullshit. Why would people beg on their summary for people to read? If the actual summary is interesting then people will come, the moment I see this shit I normally see the tags xHarem and that means I won't even click in that story. I gave far too many stories like that the benefit of the doubt just to see myself get splattered in the face with some A5 Kobe garbage. Some people might simply not be interested in the plot line, or some people just don't like certain pairings or whatever. Not all stories will be as popular as 13 year old harem Naruto garbage (keep in mind there are a lot of 13-15 year old girls who actually enjoy this stuff), so if you are set in writing a specific story line that won't get as much traffic, then understand that bitching about it in summary won't do anything. For example, I spent much more time on my story "ROTLB: The Birth of the Light Bringer", but my story "A God's Redemption" has 100x more views. Some types of stories (especially Naruto crossovers) are far more popular than OC stories. I understand that, doesn't mean I'm going to beg people to read it. A simple comment saying 'Hey Check out the other stories on my profile' is enough. 10) Battle scenes I understand this is a bit hard, but if any of you want some help, watch the interactions in Fate Zero when Saber fought lancer. Where there were slow motion moments where we were able to see the characters strategizing against each other. On top of that, there were also quick exchanges and damage to each other. If I want to read a battle that looks like playing a turn based RPG, I would read a battle of a turn based RPG. Battles aren't spell 1, spell 2, spell 3, etc. Battle scenes shouldn't be a hundreds of paragraphs describing every bit of detail (unless there is a specific scene where the character's time slows down like in certain anime and their brain goes in to over drive). This is because when you are in a quick paced battle (for example writing a story of DBZ), then you want to set a quick pacing even in description. Go into the characters heads, what are they thinking? Are they dodging by reflex? Are they thinking of a counter to their opponent? Was there adequate build-up for a power up? Ex. The first DBZ transformations didn't just randomly come: Super saiyan had vegeta explaining the legend, and Goku constantly getting stronger, Super Saiyan 2 was the entire android and cell saga's final result. Super saiyan 3 Super Saiyan Blue did just randomly pop up (Correct me if I am wrong), but the point is that power ups should have a little bit of set up/foreshadowing.
