Author has written 11 stories for Gate - Jietai Kare no Chi nite, Kaku Tatakeri, Naruto, Dragon Ball Z, Star Wars, Harry Potter, and Avengers. Name: Okmangeez (also goes by dane10152) This is also my name on Steam and most other games that I play (League of Legends, etc) Age: 21 Occupation: College student, majoring in history and law. Aiming to become a business lawyer. Ethnicity: Korean-American, though I consider myself more American than Korean Place of Residence: The Golden State, in the US of A. Favorite Anime/Manga: Cross Game will always be my number 1 anime. I also enjoyed Naruto, GATE, and Dragon Ball Z. For manga, I'll have to say Hunter x Hunter. Hobbies: Gaming, working at my part-time job, enjoying my precious few hours of sleep, working out Bio: I'm Okmangeez, a Korean American dude living in California. If you're imaging a Fresh Off the Boat kid speaking broken English, I'll tell you right now that you're dead wrong. I've lived in the good ol' USA for the last 12 years of my life and I barely remember living in Korea. I'm American as American can be: with the American flag, pet eagle, and everything (a little exaggeration on the second part, but you get the point). I have reached a point where I can't fake an Asian accent and I sound like an everyday white American. I do attend a UC, though I won't mention which one. I'm rather busy in real life, which is why you see me on and off in terms of writing. I commute to my university (which is an hour away from my house), work a part-time job, volunteer for the Republican Party (yes, I am a card-carrying Republican), and work out whenever I have time (usually after my part-time job or after I get home from school). I plan to run for political office one day, so I'm trying to do as much as I can to prepare for the long road ahead. Though, I am trying to get back into writing more. Writing is a good experience for me to improve my typing skills/my essay writing skills (you would be surprised at how helpful writing these stories are to improving my writing skills). It's also a great place for me to let my imagination wild. Usually, I get a really unique or weird idea for a story every hour and I have a doc full of ideas. I just need the motivation to make these ideas come to life. Usually, I manage to write a chapter or two for an idea, then start a new one. I apologize if I have blue-balled anyone with my writing. For Naruto stories, I'm a huge NaruSaku fan. Now before you throw things at me or burn my profile down, I just want to say that it was the most logical choice (at least in my point of view). But all I can do is sulk while NaruHina fans jeer me. These days, I'm mainly more neutral towards pairings and I plan to pair people as the stories progress. Too many of my ideas have failed in the past because it revolved around a pairing instead of a plot. I still like certain pairings, but I don't force it or make it obvious. My stories usually focus on a lot of world-building, as I believe that movies/books/manga like Harry Potter and Naruto have a lot of glaring flaws and inconsistencies. I try to stick close to canon facts and information as closely as possible, but I often tweak a few things to smooth things out. My most recent story is an example of this, as it focuses on the United States and the American Magical community. I'm a huge baseball fan, with my team being the Oakland A's. I am absolutely happy that they are playing great these days. Being a baseball fan is also a reason why I loved Cross Game, though the anime would've been great even without the baseball parts.
