Author has written 15 stories for Dragon Ball Z, Naruto, and Bleach. I am simply a lover of fanfiction who loves to read all of the unique idea's my favorite writers create. P.S. - Side names include Lord Kratos, Savage Xeno, and Xeno Black. P.S.S. - Also a proud bureaucrat for the DBM wiki and moderator of the DBM forum! Favorite Anime and Manga Over the course of all of my years on this planet, I have acquired a grocery list of many great stories that has both influenced and entertained me immensely. Some of them are still on-going, while others have ended a long time ago. But here is a quick list of the ones that I will forever revere as the greatest shonen pieces of all time. Note: List is not in order from favorites to least favorite: 1. Dragon Ball - The gateway anime series that started it all for me when I was 5 years old. Arguably my most favorite series of all time despite some flaws, Dragon Ball is a powerful series that truly never gets old. Personally the Z era is the best segment of all variations, especially with Bruce Faulconers music playing though the Japanese music isn't all that bad either. Especially in the remastered editions. Kai is okay, but the original is still better though the dialogue lines in Kai is superior for the most part. The original Dragon Ball was also excellent, and far more technical in terms of fight sequences. GT however I have a strong love/hate relationship, but I still love it for what it is worth. But Super I have massive problems with, well at least the anime version. It still has some good in it, but I find it the weakest out of the main four scenarios. Goku's growing stupidity, nonsensical power levels, and unnecessary transformations with no real explanation pisses me off again and again. But at least the manga is far more competent than the anime version. 2. Yu Yu Hakusho - My first "adult" series that I watched completely at least 3 times. Kurama, Hiei, Toguro, Sensui, and Yomi are among my favorites with everything being great despite the final arc (was rushed beyond Hell with many unsatisfying closures). But the action, music, plot, and characters makes this series a legend in my books. And despite never seeing Hunter X Hunter, I still say that this is Togashi's best work of all time. 3. Naruto - A great series that I've discovered when it first aired on Toonami. Naruto is one of the few series that I can almost consider to be "perfect", though Kaguya cheating Madara out of his spotlight irks me to this day. But despite all of that, many elements in this series remains untouched, which is great for fanfic writers such as myself. Backstories is a prime example. Boruto however, I have been on and off, but it is decent for what it is worth. But it is not the same when it was being drawn and written by Kishimoto himself. At least that how I see it. 4. Bleach - Another great series that I discovered when Ichigo was having his final fight against Ulquiorra in the manga. Unfortunately despite the massive potential this series has, the author did messed up many things about it while prioritizing things instead of the stuff the fans wanted the most (fullbring arc, zombie warfare, Mask De Masculine are primary examples). But I still love this series with a fiery passion, and love to imagine in a perfect world how this series would have played out differently. Especially if we can add the likes of Bansui and Arturo as canon characters. But alas it will forever be a dream by this point. And hail Aizen lol. 5. Fairy Tail - A very good series that started off strong. Despite losing steam later on with many problems popping up as the overuse of willpower, friendship, and the lack of hero deaths, it was still a decent series with many interesting characters. Now the ending of the final arc gave me many headaches, but at least the final chapter was satisfying to a small degree. It will be missed, unless spin-off mangas are still being released to keep the spirit alive. And well fanfic writers. Can always use more of them if I say so myself. 6. Samurai Champloo - A kickass anime series that is heavily influenced by hip-hop. What more can a young brother want in this life lol. Anyways jokes aside, Mugen and Jin are some great characters who fight in a harsh world in the not-some-of-the-best-times in Japan's history. But the fights and plots general direction always entertained me, especially on the fact it involved no ridiculous powers and straight up normal human fighting. Sometimes anime that is more inclined to reality is the best, and makes it more relatable in my eyes. 7. Afro Samurai - Another great anime series that is quite short for my taste with many unanswered questions. But with Wu-Tang Clan style musical production with Samuel L. Jackson doing the voice acting, basically it is the Boondocks gone pro and serious, yet fuses with some elements from Kill Bill. It is a fun small series for what it is worth. 8. Inuyasha - What can I say, sword fights and demon action never grows old. Especially when characters such as Sesshomaru and Naraku show up. 9. Rurouni Kenshin - Similar to Samurai Champloo, but far more serious with no hip-hop music lamentably. But the dark themes in this series makes it a fun ride, with Shishio being a great villain who defeats all of the strongest like they were nothing. Then again if Kenshin was in his battosai state, fully healed, and wielded no reverse blade sword (along with a little bit more knowledge on how Shishio fought), he would have crushed Shishio the moment they met in my books. Kenshin is that much of a G lol. Favorite Characters to Write (in Descending Order) 8. Kisuke Urahara (Bleach): Urahara is the type of character where even in the most dire of situations you can joke around with. His vast intellect, high combat skills, and overall attitude makes him a honorable character to write, not once ever becoming a chore. And his ability to harden his resolve on a whim is great to convey how cutthroat he can get. An all around excellent character for writing. 7. Shinji Hirako (Bleach): He is very similar to Urahara since he can be both comical and serious when the situation demands it. But his hollow powers and role as a current captain makes him slightly win out against Urahara for writing, but overall are both equally fun and charming. 6. Grimmjow (Bleach): Sometimes you just need that one character who is out of the traditional norm of attitudes and only cares about himself. And Grimmjow beautifully captures that personification. Concerned with only a few things, his complexity stems from his simplicity since he only focuses on his goals. His rivalry/hatred for Ichigo is among the best in Bleach, and love to make parallels whenever I can. Plus his homicidal tendencies for destruction is a great stress reliever to write. 5. Ichigo Kurosaki (Bleach): For many years after the Soul Society arc, I began to view Ichigo as a one-dimensional figure who lost his edgy, philosophical, poetic nature that once made him captivating. He became another boring friendship protagonist. But now I am able to write him, I am starting to love what I originally saw within him and find his character to be deeper than expected. Writing his interactions with others is pleasant, especially when he is depressed. It allows you to subjugate emotions that is uncommon in most other shonen action shows. 4. Madara Uchiha (Naruto): A very deep character who feels like a combination of both Grimmjow and Aizen. A intellectual fighter who at times can get lost in his battle mania. What more can you ask for? And his drive for something greater makes him feel like that he is the main character all along, something few very characters can do. The extensive techniques he employs also makes him a loose cannon since he can always spin something new to the battlefield. A amazing character through and through. 3. Sosuke Aizen (Bleach): He is so fun to write that it not even funny. His ability to seemingly do everything has no bounds for my keyboard pen. The hax is real with Aizen, and it always a pleasure to write him. Or is he writing me? 2. Vegeta (Dragon Ball): Personally I feel like that I can dig into Vegeta's psyche to levels few can reach. He is so deep and masterfully crafted that I never have any issues writing him. It like Vegeta himself possess my fingers to help me write his thoughts. Without a doubt he is easily one of Toriyama's best inventions. Honorable Mentions: Frieza, Cooler, Kakashi Hatake, Tobirama Senju, Hashirama Senju, Isshin Kurosaki, Toshiro Hitsugaya, Hiyori Sarugaki, Mayuri Kurotsuchi, and Yoruichi Shihoin. 1. Vegito (Dragon Ball): Arguably the most complex character I have ever written. As a fusion from two different characters, the possibilities are endless with him since he has the potential to be virtually anything in life. No words can describe how fantastic it is to write him since he is largely still unexplored in canon. Many twists can be made with his being. Bleach Project Ever since I have released my first bleach story in 2017, I have decided to focus part of my time making material to cover the "omitted" parts of the canon manga. Tite Kubo has created a fantastic world filled with interesting characters, but the gaps in the synopsis sub-plots irks me tremendously since it is fresh material that was never fully exploited. Examples includes: 1. Background information for multiple characters (Espada's personal journey's from humans to arrancars, Yhwach's original ascension and fall, and much more). 2. Skipped fight scenes (Kensei vs Wonderweiss or Yammy vs Byakuya and Kenpachi comes to mind). So with all of this in mind, I will make the material to expand Bleach's lore that was forever left out. It will take me years, but it is worth it at the end of the day. I even created a community 'White Abyss" to help usher a reservoir of canon material for this cause. Current Stories Fused Destiny - Ultimately one of my main priority that will take years to finish. Spanning from the beginning of Dragon Ball Z, lots of interesting twists and turns can be spun since I have many crazy ideas for this. But no set schedule for the time being. Perfect Reincarnation - A divergence from DBZ history where a lone Cell Jr survives, harboring the reincarnated soul of his father. And his sole ambition is to exact vengeance against his father's enemies, no matter the cost. Bleeding Guitar Blues - A never before seen battle shown in full scope between a visored and a sternritter. Death, fear, and hopelessness are the key ingredients between war of different factions. A bleach battle that will stand the test of time. Turn Back The Pendulum 2: The Forgotten Century - A short series focused on Bleach that will be done one of these days. The Will of Fire - Despite having huge plans with this series, I have decided to put this AU on hold until I can get some more freetime on my hands. Despite already being over 2,000 words in for chapter 2, it will remain unfinished. I refuse to rush this story since I want to flesh out everything possible within, which in due time will come. Completed Stories Samsara's Curse - A two-part tale that speaks a epic revision regarding Izuna Uchiha's final hours. Grimm Tales: Immanent God Blues - A interquel that deals with Grimmjow's waking moments upon the White War's conclusion. Calm Before the Storm - A missing piece of history where Ichigo reacquaints himself with Zangetsu, separated by Mugetsu's usage. Three Months Later - A Bleach interquel where Ichigo learns from his father the fate of Grand Fisher, the hollow that killed his mother. DEAD GOD CANNOT DECIDE - A mini Bleach interquel series that fully covers the entire events surrounding Aizen upon being defeating by Ichigo Kurosaki. Completed Stories (Kakashi Chronicles Edition) Mangekyo - The never before seen tale of Kakashi discovering the heightened state of Sharingan. Sword of Lightning - A epic one-shot prequel where Kakashi perfects Chidori and christens the jutsu Raikiri. Passing of the White Fang - The expanded yet tragic story that shows Sakumo's final hour in life before committing suicide. Hero of the Sharingan - The haunting trial where Kakashi is put on trial by the Uchiha clan in regards for having the Sharingan. Future or Process-In-The-Making Stories The Immortal Grudge - Ever wondered what was Kakuzu's early life? Or the exact circumstances of him betraying his village or attempting to assassinate Hashirama? Farewell, Eternal Sleep! - What happened to Madara's body upon death? Or what transpired to Madara's soul upon crossing death's doors? |
