Wow...I got rid of the old profile? Why? It was rambly, stupid, and way out of date. For instance, it said I'm fifteen, an age I haven't been able to claim for about three years. =D

Hey, all, name's Ruthie. That's what my penname says, so that's what you can call me. I'm an eighteen year-old freshman in college (majoring in Biology, with a concentration in Cell and Molecular Biology) with a passion for life, sugar, shiny safety pins, hard rock, brightly-colored plastic beads, mossy rocks, running 5ks, knitting, and dried bones. Also high on my list are long-sleeved shirts, running through the rain, mechanical pencils, video games, aquariums, chocolate-covered raisins, pomegranates, laughter, fire, frolicking through the forest in search of hidden creeks, and sleeping. So basically, I'm a little fireball with a lot of love to spread and a ton of things over which to spread it. However, I simply cannot stand people who abuse the laws of grammar, gum-smackers, the smell of worms, Lyme Disease (don't get it; it sucks), dull pencils, snobs, n00bs, and--my one true anathema--shinsplints.

Most of my stories center around what I call the Main Three: Legend of Zelda, Warriors, and Pokemon. I may write a couple of oneshots or short stories in other genres, but those Three are the ones I stick to the most. All three of them have wonderful opportunities for story-writing, if you just open your mind (although, the last two have gotten a bit jaded for me as time has worn on). I generally write backstories and AU fics (although I've always wanted to try my hand at novelization), so if either of those are your speed, then you've found the right author!

I deal in concrit, and appreciate it when it comes to me. Possibly the worst thing you can do is tell me in a review, "I love your story! It's so cute and adorable! There were a couple of parts I didn't like, but they weren't that bad. You're so good!" That tells me nothing. Why do you love it? What was adorable? What didn't you like, and why? Why am I good? It doesn't have to be ten paragraphs long (but I won't complain if it is!), nor does it need to be overly-specific and anal retentive...I write in detail, so I love it when I hear back from people in detail.

Mm...really, that's about it. I guess I should just point a few things out before I let you go and read.

1. When I use boldface in a story, consider that the equivalent of an "a/n." (Author's Note)
2. If a story's description says "Hiatus" in it, that means that the story is currently on hold. And for most of those stories, that status is probably permanent.
3. People have plagarized my work on this site twice, and both times I was alerted of the theft by several other members. So, even if I don't personally catch you, someone else will.
4. I have ADHD, which means that sometimes I will make huge shifts in topic in my writing without realizing it. While it makes perfect sense to me, it may seem a bit random to others. If anything confuses you, feel free to ask me for an explanation. While I tend to forget anything that isn't written down on the back of my left hand, I rarely have trouble remembering what I was thinking when I wrote something.
5. I really don't take requests for writing anything. Sorry.
