I have to date, never officially beta-read for another, outside of a few stories for myself and a close knit group of friends. I find it easier to find mistakes or typo's in another persons' writing then in my own, and therefor believe I would be a satisfactory beta-reader.

I have quite a large vocabulary, which lends itself well to being able to find different ways of expressing a word or situation without repetition. I am also skilled in descriptions, and have often been told I have a knack for it. I believe a good story allows you to visualize what it is you are reading, and I strive to achieve that in everything I do.

My strongest weakness would have to be puncuation. I also have difficulty, at least when writing, to type faster then my eyes can follow, and at times make spelling or gramatical mistakes. (but thats what spell check is for right?)

I prefer action, adventure, and suspense to all other genre's. I like a plot that moves and twists and turns, and draws the reader into the flow of excitement and tension. I also have a very strong fondness for science fiction and fantasy as well as horror I suppose you can say. I am not adverse to reading or writing a bit of gore to further the seriousness of a stories situation.

Mary-sues or gary-sues would have to be my ultimate no's. Romance is one thing but I am not into stories with original characters falling for cannon characters. I also dislike character death stories, parodies, and (insert yourself here) stories. And another I prefer to stay away from are stories that are blatantly out of character. I understand a little OOC-ness here and there. No one is perfect. And that I do not mind that. But when you have a warrior, whose been raised by blood and carnage running around afraid of bunnies, something is wrong.
