I like to read stories and see how they flow and fit with either the canon of the show or the AU feel of the story. I tend to look at story and flow first, and then I look at grammar. I think a story that is well-structured grammatically and formatted correctly will get more readers in the first place, and keep readers with the quality of the work. I want to help you make your stories better and make yourself a better writer, and it is fun to have more quality work out there!

I am very good at spotting grammar errors and continuity problems in a story. I also like to find how well the story flows and how accurate the character descriptions are, both for canon and for AU. I am good at descriptions and making sure the the story is something that a reader can picture, and I can make little emotional moments to really make a story come alive.

I probably will be more critical of grammar than you might like, and I really appreciate quick responses to corrections or questions I make or have. I will also act as an editor, so be prepared for the suggestion of things added or taken from your stories. This is not a reflection on you-even professional writers often get notes for the need of major revisions from their editors!

I will beta any type of story, but ones that are pure action are not my favorites. I really like relationship stories for whatever show, and stories that read like an actual episode. I don't mean script format, but stories that I could actually picture as an episode. Also, please pay attention to the actual characters and write like THEY speak, not how you speak, especially you younger writers. If the characters don't normally say "Dude, how's it going, bro? Man, that guy's such a jerkwad" or "Girl, he was so disrespecting you!", but speak like actual adult people, then please do not write them speaking that other way!

I will not like to beta script-format stories, and would not prefer pure action. I also will not beta stories where you are inserting yourself or your friends into the show. And if you're doing an AU for a historical, and you decide you need to throw something in there that is anachronistic just because you think you can, I probably won't beta it. I won't beta anything like BDSM, incest, or torture.
