I've lived my whole life in the United States and am fluent in American usage of the English language. For other languages, I've studied some Spanish and can possibly consult my parents on Mandarin Chinese. My style is to be more of an editor than to collaborate, and I will comment on themes and my personal opinions.

My strengths include checking grammar and consistency. I can also advise on style and tone from word choice and syntax. I will do my best in helping research.

I'm not most confident in my skills regarding pacing, fluidity, and tone. I also may not be much help with coming up with plot, character, and setting ideas; this will vary according to genre.

I'd prefer to beta for fandoms I am in. My list is extensive so send me an ask since my account doesn't reflect all the media I love! (The same holds true for relationships and theories I support.)

I'm not sure about stories I'd prefer not to beta read because I believe in telling difficult, diverse, and controversial stories and because I believe myself to be open-minded. My not beta-ing a work will have to be determined on a case by case basis.
