Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I am 23, and attend Clarion Unv. to one day work in a libary and work with English language learners. I am taking advance english classes and I had a short story published in a magazine known as 'Teen Ink' So I can give a pretty good insight on your story. I also had poems published in my school art magaizne. I know three other languages, French, Spanish, and Polish but I won't beta in them. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I am very creativty with plots and dialoge, I am good with discription and understanding the charcterzaion. I am pretty fair when it comes to couples,I also do well at placing emotions in the story and cliff hangers at the end of the chapter. I am aslo good with the emotion of non-romantic relashionships (such as siblings, parents ect). I am also very talented at writing ghost stories. I also put dilect in the story, to make the charcters sound athentic. Even those a proffesser and a mountin farmer may speak English, they won't sound the same. br /br /br /br / br /br / br / br /br /br / br / br /br / br / I am also good with wording, and historical accuratcy. That is one thing you can expect from me, is making sure the charcters are with the time frame. For example, in Twilight Jasper would not have gone to high school as a human, and Emmett would not have a telvision growing /br /br / br / br /br / br / br /br /br / br / br /br / br / I will place more discription in the story, and higlight the sentances I have reworded. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I am not to good at catching spelling mistakes, and I do not always catch grammer errors but I will go over it twice and use spell checker. |
Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
For now I will beta Harry Potter, Twilight, 'A Christmas Carol', Lion King, Titanic, and Lovely Bones I plan to add more as I write. I can do Star Wars but I haven't written a fanfic about it. I do not use betas who haven't written in the catagory and I assume others choose the same. |
Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
I won't deal with non-canon pairings, and poor sense of humor and I will not go aginst the orignal plot of the story line. If your writing contens inappropaite language I will fix it for you. |
