I am mature reader/ writer with a degree in journalism. Generally, I read stories for content, grammar and spelling, and continuity of plot development. I prefer to work with Microscoft WORD documents, using the "tracking" and "comments" features, but can work with plain text documents or html as well.

I have an excellent eye for character development and plot. I LOVE writing/helping with dialog! I tend to give "constructive critisim", which provides the writer with positive feedback on his/her work while at the same time provides an honest and disapassionate assessment of the piece as a whole. (If what you were writing was perfect, you wouldn't need a betareader.)

I tend to get "wordy"; I'm from the old school where we got paid by the word, so...

I prefer working with writers interested in all things STAR TREK (be it TOS, STTNG, ENT, alternate reality, etc.); and I also like the general fantasy / sci fi genres. Slash is fine; doesn't bother me.

I'm not interested in reading pointless "fluff" or stories that are strictly little pieces of pornography with no plot or subtext.
