I am a very strict beta-reader in general, for grammar & spelling, but also for realism/accuracy. i have done quite a lot of editing/copy-editing and I am an English major, so I have a background in beta stuff (besides actual beta-ing). I can work under pressure and I like feeling emotionally connected to the characters, but it's not necessary.

I won't back down from challenging material and my interests are quite catholic, so it's quite likely that I will be able to catch inaccuracies in various fields.

I can be unreliable if not given a definite deadline.

I like romances and stories with a driving plot, especially mysteries. I'm not that particular, though, I like most. I'm really into crossover because I think those can be really fun sometimes, when done well.

I'm pretty accepting, but if it's not my taste, I'll let you know.
