I read and I write.I read a lot and I, as well as most others, look for quality fanfiction to read. I don't purposely seek out bad fanfiction to cause myself undo pain while reading something of terrible quality. I may not be the best writer but I try to write something of quality with out to many grammer mistakes and with consistency in things like characterization, plot, dialogue, etc.
I want to help make the stories of others quality product, something that people will want to read and if you are like me and want to write quality product I am more than willing to help you.
However, if you still feel the need to write stories in which you idealize yourself and pair yourself with the main protagonist of the story, I am not the beta or you, please stay far, far away. If you are just starting to explore writing and you don't know much, I am not the beta for you. I am not a patient person or a good teacher, please find someone else to teach you the basics, I do not have the time. If you think that your story is perfect, in which case you don't need a beta, I will not beta your story and tell you how good it is, because most likely its not as great as you think, and make your head bigger than it already is.
IF YOUR FEELINGS ARE EASILY HURT, I AM NOT THE BETA FOR YOU. I refuse to play those games, I am here to criteque and help you make your story better, not to play nice with you so your feelings don't get hurt.
If there is something wrong I WILL tell you and I will tell you why to the best of my ability, I won't be nice where it is not deserved.
I will help you make your story the best I can. I will help you maintain coherency in dialogue, characterization and plot and I will help you with persistent problems and plotholes. I will tell you when you are headed down a road that could be avoided all together. I will check for grammar and spelling mistakes.
But I will NOT be an alternative to spell and grammar check, please don't send me something full of so many errors that I can barely make sense of it. I will correct hiccups but not massive explosions of bad grammar. I'm not going to hold your hand and tell you everything you should do. And I'm not going to write your story for you.
You are the writer. I am here to make sure that the story runs smoothly before you present it.
I will be honest and I will not nice. However, I won't be mean just to be mean. I understand that everyone wants quality feedback and I will give that.
