Well, I love criticizing (constructively, of course) my friends' work, as well as anyone else's. I get so absorbed in reading that I feel compelled to point out the small flaws which sometimes throw me outside the story. I'm always honest in my evaluations, but I think that I present my opinions politely and fairly. That being said, don't ask me to beta for you if you can't take criticism.

I'm very good with grammar, especially when editing stories that aren't my own. I also have an extensive vocabulary and spell well. Basically, I'm best at "nitpicking," as my mother likes to call it when I correct her grammar.

Description (and lots of it!) is another one of my strengths.

Frankly, I'm horrible at plotting, so if you're after plot ideas, I'm not your girl. I'm also not the best at detecting tiny plot holes, but I can usually point out the major ones.

I occasionally overindulge in description in my own writing, but that doesn't really occur when I'm beta-ing someone else's.

I'm fine with any category, any genre, any rating, so long as I'm familiar with the canon!

As stated above, if I'm familiar with the canon, I'm game.
