I'm not entirely sure if you're continuing this story since it has been a while since the last update but I have to say, I love this. It's such a good idea that can be developed into such a thick plot! If you do decide to continue it, I can't wait for the next chapter!

So did Bilbo and Adelaide end up together, because the first chapter with the older Bilbo gives the impression they didn't.

It was indeed conkers, so you didn't miss hear. Also keep at it because this is looking like it will be delightfully amusing!

Maybe have her beat Ori at the burping contest.

I think (and just my opinion since some may like to have it right after) but I feel like pausing to explain how to pronounce a word is best left to the very end of the chapter. I feel it breaks up the vibe you have going in the story. Also I would suggest maybe trying to not take everything word for word from the movies. Possibly adding extra dialog or showing the scene from a different perspective? I'd also suggest possibly doing a mix of book, movie and your own? Again, just my opinion_
