I love how clueless Christine is about humans it adds a layer to the story. She reminds me a little bit of Ariel from the Little Mermaid. I can't wait to keep reading this is so good so far!

Although Erik, it might've helped helped a teeny tiny itty bitty bit if you'd reminded the young woman that you weren't leaving her behind of the fun of it, but because you're going to go kill someone. Though, of course, Erik doesn't want one of the only people to ever not hate him (or the only one, if there's no analogues of Nadir or Madam Giry here, which there does not seem to be) to start hating him by reminding her that cold blooded murder is his job. I get why he couldn't bring it up again, but still...

And of course, we know that Christine doesn't get it. She has no idea what money is, therefore no understanding that humans don't just wander through life doing whatever we please, but do stuff to get money so we can trade if for food and lodging and clothes and so on. Heck, she's just learning her tummy needs food. Though her conversations with it are amusing. XD

I'd also like to join the line to adopt Harold. :D

You certainly know cliffies! Erik leaves Christine last chapter, and now Dyron Raoul convinces Erik to go back but she's already gone!

Oh, and since Christine's dream about her tree dying was definitely true, since she can't get nourishment from it anymore, I somehow doubt the idea that killing Erik would let Christine go home would work.

Time to go see where she went with no knowledge of human needs (never *eaten* before) and her nymph abilities gone as well...

Sooo, no language barriers to worry about. Just, ah, cultural ones! XD
