Oh, my gosh, this totally had me fooled. I did wonder why "Agent Barton" was talking a little out of character. Am glad to see the story is complete, so I can read the entire thing tonight and not be left hanging. Thanks for writing and sharing!

I seriously loved this story and my only beef with it is that it ended so quickly! I found the colour blindness thing incredibly interesting especially how we're reading from his POV yet we ourselves had no idea about it! The beginning with Bernard threw me off and that's really what sold me into this story because it was so cleverly done, good job on that. I found myself feeling for Clint in a way I didn't think I would, considering his asshole tendencies (that's an understatement) and the way you justified his actions was well thought out. I liked that you also gave out references to where you found your information, please keep that up! I actually feel the need to thank you for writing this because I honestly feel that this has inspired me to be braver, and to fight against not just the odds but the parts in me that aren't exactly savoury. Thanks for a great adventure!

I really like this story. Even though you have admitted that there was a lot of creative freedom taken you make everything plausible. I kindda wish that we could see Clint's career blossom but then this would be almost any other Hawkeye story so I like how you ended this. Great work.

Ugh, it's over and I don't want it to be! This was such a ride; fun, clever, heartwrenching, but very hopeful. It read as very honest, lots of trial and error and development, and I adore that.

Now I've got to go root around TBB for more Archer fics, because you reignited an addiction that I thought I had repressed, but it's running rampant and I don't know what to dooooooooo. I THINK THE THING YOU CAUSED IS FAR GREATER THAN THE THING I CAUSED.

Ugh, I love the recuperation period! Not every thing is easy for him, but not everything is awful and horrendous with people abusing him all of the time.

Coulson's portrayal is awesome. I can just imagine his placid expression, not quite a smile, not quite completely blank, and you have his mild manner down pat. So nice, so nice.

(I also like the casual dig you take at the idea of Clint wandering around via air duct. It is an amusing fresh breath of air ;) )

I really liked his testimony! I just love Clint here in general, because while it's a completely different side of Clint than I'm used to! I'm accustomed to an amiable, witty, disarmingly charming sort of character, but here he's angry and bitter and doesn't want no sympathy from nobody and I adore it. He's rugged and difficult and so very far gone that you almost think there's no hope, but you still want to and asdfjkl;

Hello, I am here a good four months late to the party, but I have read the first chapter and I loved it. I remember a snippet of conversation from BB as to who the Archer was, so I had some sort of clue, but I loved this execution! Also the interaction between Barney and Phil was great, I adored the dichotomy of sill and serious.

BUT UGH THE IDEA OF BAD!CLINT (especially with all of Barney's input on him!) IS JUST SO TEMPTING, MUST READ MORE.

I loved this story. I'm a big sucker for Hawkeye origin stories, and I've never read one that used these themes. Keep it up and looking forward to the sequel!
