Aww, that story is looking pretty sweet. It's going to take me some time to catch up with it, but I love Meg's characterization and awkward, fumbling Herc is the best thing in the world. XD Now I want to re-watch the movie all over again.

I love anything medical related! This is so interesting!
I know how you feel about people mistreating you. I have a visual impairment;I need to walk with a white cane or my guide dog in order to get around. Growing up I used to have asshole kids take and hide my cane cause they thought it was funny. I'm an adult (well sorta haha!) but I still get looked through as "not a whole person." People get so freaked out when they realize that, "oMGOSH she's a normal blind woman whose just like me I can't deal with it," or, "you poor thing..." or the one that makes me laugh, "You must need someone to look after you/take care of you." I always say back to them that I've been taking care of myself since 19 I do not need anyone to pity me.
Anyhow...my point of this rambling is that I know how you feel, you aren't alone and I think you are totally kick butt for doing what you're doing!
P.S. Hold onto that man of yours...those are hard to find! Believe me I'm still looking haha...

Hey! love this rewrite soo so sooooo much! Everything you have kept from the original and everything you have changed have been such wonderful choices. I had loved the original, and honestly still do even all these years later. I am very glad however you said in your authors note at the top of this chapter that you would rather not include the Zeus arch from the original Reopened Wounds. I’m really looking forward to reading more of this.
