This wasn't exactly what I was expecting from this story, but I'm glad I was wrong. Your story is incredible! It's original and complex, which I deeply appreciate.
From the way things seem to be going, I'm assuming that Shiro is meant to die for Rin to change. Ah~ that's just awful! I love Shiro (even if he only appeared for a short amount of time). I hope that whatever you have planned for his death scene 2.0. will involve Rin and Yukio struggling to save him. They (Specifically, Yukio) should have a chance to save him.

Also, I'm pretty sure that this is abandoned, but in case it's not... PLEASE UPDATE SOON! IT'S BEEN YEARS! I want to read more...!

I'm still baffled at the sheer amount of story concepts you manage to come up with, it’s quite a remarkable thing to see so many for a single fandom.

Usually I prefer to read stories with a set pairing but actually, this time travel plot leaves so many interesting possibilities to explore.

This was an awesome chapter great job i like this because unlike others this is like a real manga or anime but the other dont haver there facts straight they make things up like rin becoming evil and killing shiro insted but this story has things that you would think rin or shiro would say this is amazing

I do hope you didn't abandon this story! Please continue, it's been over a year. I do have a question: if Rin went back in time, shouldn't there be his past self and his present self? I could just be thinking about it too hard. I love what you did with Mephisto and an audience, reminds me of the manga, volume 11 I think it is from the top of my head, maybe 10. Please, please continue!

I find this idea very interesting.
Rin being able to go back in time and saving Shiro with the key Mephisto gave him, and then them being forced on the run because the Vatican found out. And while its not very far into the story, you can see how it's changing with Shiemi being dead because Mephisto was brought back with Rin and decided to kill her for some reason, and how Yukio immediately rebels to save them.

I've always been fond of time travel stories. Nice to see one for Blue Exorcist. I'm looking forward to seeing you bring in Izumo and Shura. Following Rin himself, they're my favourite characters. Also hoping to see the story have a little Rin/Izumo pairing. Please keep it up.

I mean the girl he liked DIED. That would be very sad. And Shiro you better not die on us! I mean Rin risked execution, losing his friends, not having his powers, and no freedom for you! hm, the order is a real pain the a***; but they are only doing their job...which is being paranoid for something that hasn't happen yet or cause concern for high alert(but it's would be to their reason to take care of the problem annoyance before it turns into a problem later).

Shiro surely can't keep his willpower up for long, he is going need to tell his 'adopted sons' eventually about his condition regarding the demon trying to bait him.

Hell if I was Rin, I would denounce all the so-called 'brothers' attacking the family I had that actually raised me and was being put in danger constantly due to some pure amusement in violent slurs before having etched in their necks.

Well some of that violence would have to be retained for training needed to take out certain demons first under the right conditions without the blame game being shuffle around.
