I don't really like deep fried anything, not only do I dislike the taste but I'm also a bit of a health buff... But if I had to try a deep fried food I would love to try deep fried peaches. They probably wouldn't taste all that great but hey, it's something at least (;

What do you mean with he had the advantage of 3 years learning under Jiraya? 3 years and no knew technique, no better use of known techniques, no spy network, no seals, no better CQC, no sage, no etc. And everything mentioned is things Jiraya is good and/or famous for.
To be honest, Jiraya and kakashi have been the worst teachers I have ever seen.

So I think that he will do better here than in canon timeline.

Now, things are started to pick up. This fight scene was really good in my opinion. It feels quite realistic. Itachi has the air of being overwhelming without it seeming like a hack to the story. We also get to see how strong Naruto has become. We didn’t really know considering the time skip. I assume that Kimmimaro is basically fully healthy at this point? I’m interested to see how you interpret his strength then. Orochimaru was indeed quite interested in his body. This fight seems to be taking the place of the fight Naruto has with Itachi in Shippuden where he received Shisui’s eye. I wonder if something similar will happen.

Okay, you really caught my attention. Now we see why Naruto left such an easy trail to follow. What worries me is that in canon, Naruto had training with Jiraya. Here, not so much. There must be something he gained in those 3 years besides such great regeneration. Will this fight show us more? I'm dying to know... Good day!

So, is this going to just be basically Canon, but with the characters swapped? Let me guess, Naruto defects to Orochimaru?

I'm not going to lie, you write well, and your characterization is pretty great, but the direction (what little of it there is) to the story is losing me. The quality of your writing (and the recommendation by someone else who's opinion I trust) has me convinced to read a little farther, but honestly this story dropped immensely in quality circa Wave.

I waited until three chapters were out before I came back and read this. I'm not sure if that was for the better though. Anyway...

Anyway, yooooooooooo these last three chapters are fantastic! Even after not reading for like, four or five months, maybe longer, I was able to immediately get engaged back into the story again. You write the characters in such a way they still feel like themselves, but have that compelling something to them. I was far more interested in a lot of the day to day stuff Satsuki had going on then I thought I would. It's really impressive, often times these in between moments developing the plot and characters and all can feel sorta like just filling time, padding out the word count until the next big moments, but you manage to put them together that it doesn't feel like that gradual slog a lot of other writers do. I thought when the time skip occurred I'd just anxiously be waiting for the next time Naruto and Satsuki run into each other, you've proven me wrong.

Also can I just say, your ability to write fight scenes is top notch. Trying to make a fight scene sufficiently exciting or interesting can be a real nightmare, but this was awesome.

I love this story because I'll actually stop midway through chapters just to think about what's happening and imagine all the exciting possibilities!

Can't wait to see where this all goes!

Another awesome chapter, can’t wait for the next update! Really digging naruto’s characterization, especially towards the end. Trying to lure itachi out to deal with him for satsuki seems a very naruto thing to do, but also kinda suicidal and reckless which fits. Excited to see how this wraps up and where it goes with the next arc. I don’t know how it’d be setup, but for some reason I feel like I could see naruto’s crew, hidan/Kakuzu/akatsuki and Konoha all running into each other in one glorious mess (assuming Naruto and friends make it out of here in one piece). Maybe Karin mentions the fire temple and rumors of the pseudo-jinchuriki there to naruto and they go to investigate, see if nature can learn anything from him or gain better control? But yeah nice work, keep it up!

Ohhh that joke was so bad it’s good XD it is really a surprise though? It is itachi, he must have saw this coming. What an unparalleled mastermind he is.
Poor Naruto. Itachi is kind of right about him. His actions are extremely self-destructive. It’s strange he’d mention itachi putting he into a coma when he injured her almost as bad, I felt not just as...but he probably already is self-depreciating anyway. I’m curious to see your depiction of Karen after what kimimaru’s said. And I anxiously await your update per usual!

I don’t eat fried food very often, but I do like tempura vegetables the rare times I have them.
