This story rocks! It takes a small what-if and creates one of the best stories imaginable! I got inspiration from this story! It's so cool to see the changes between then and now, and how the land has changed thanks to Fawful and Dark Bowser! A few minor holes like how the people didn't stay forever in bubbles and why Dark Bowser resurrected Fawful, but who cares? You have the true markings of an author, and you clearly put a ton of time and effort into this. Thank you, for making such a wonderful and thought-out story!

I have to say... this story is very good, usually I don't read stories that don't star Mario and the others but as a what if story of Fawful and Dark Bowser winning, ruleing most of the world and it's up to a toad and her friends to put an end to their rain?this is pretty sweet.
I wish there were more stories like this like what if Dimentio won? or what if the Shadow Queen had won?, I do like your OCs they are pretty relateable and funny, hope to see your next story, it's probably up right now since this story is a year old so

So, the plot thickens; I am seriously hyped for the next act. This cliff hanger left me with many questions that I hope will get addressed in the chapters to come. Superb plot so far and excellent original characters and characterizations for canon personages. A quality read thus far!

Great story! I have a couple suggestions for later chapters though. For the final battle with Dark Bowser, you should make Mario, Luigi, Bowser, and Peach be resurrected, that would be cool. Also, it would be cool to see the koopalings show up sometime.

Interesting path this story is taking. I simple adore the vivid imagery that allows one to almost live the story.

Amazing details, blood racing suspense, and an especially intriguing plot. I loved the nuances in personality displayed by each character. The dark aura of a totalitarian monarchy is very palpable and the setting and emotions carry on this theme. I hope more read and review, and that you may continue this wonderful tale.

*takes a deep breath, and exhales* If Fawful survived, Dark Bowser had to survive. If Fawful died, Dark Bowser had to die. No matter what, it was good that he died. The only way to bring him back was to revive him and make him a good guy. It's very true...

If only Fawful didn't get the Dark Star, this wouldn't be his fate.
