I personally have never struggled with self harm, having the amazing support system that I do, but know many who have, including my step-sister who was kept from my mother after things went south with her father. Now that she is eighteen, she can see us whenever she wants, and has the amazing support system that I had through the bad times, and is hoping to find a tattoo artist who will help her turn her scars into something beautiful. I found your story heartbreaking yet all around beautiful, and I think that is a wonderful idea for someone who struggles. Rock on!
