Tenjo chapter 1 . 8/23/2019 It’s shit from the onset. Never, ever make a story where Voldemort is the good guy. He’s not. Even if Dumbledore is evil, Voldemort directly and indirectly killed hundreds, if not thousands of people and not just by pressing one button, but by years and years of individual killings that he felt no remorse over. That is NOT someone who is redeemable. Also, why can’t James and Lily go back? The reason you give isn’t valid. The ball got rolling from the start of bloody time, not that one thing. Rather, if you DO want to sell the whole ‘redeemable’ Tom thing, it would make more sense that they go back as far as possible. Then there’s his parents’ reactions to him, as if his walking to his death was completely irrational. No it wasn’t. He, like everyone else, doesn’t have the benefit of being omnipotent, all seeing, he had no way of knowing just how twisted everything was and if he wanted to save those he cared about then his death was the obvious answer. While there could’ve been alternatives, there was no time for them. Now the real issue. You have deities who determine the progression of things. Harry falling for Dumbledore’s lies is NOT Harry’s fault, it’s not even a mistake of one of the deities since they can’t make mistakes, meaning it was determined by them. If so, why then is it wrong? That was the progression they made happen, yet they blame it on mortals for somehow tricking their fate and reset the board. It never works in a story. |
