My first thought was: No way does Her Majesty walk into that snake pit without a dozen or two very heavily armed bodyguards. Oh, well, obviously she can, if magic itself prevents Her royal personage to be attacked. Otherwise people like Malfoy wouldn't think twice about casting a killing curse or two. Enough money gets even that charge dropped...

Even if it's a bit bloody, it's nice! Not that I mind the blood of death eaters spilled, I just think that in a modern monarchy the queen wouldn't want to watch a wholesale slaughter like that.

Re-read today. I'd forgotten how good this story is. Telling it from Fudge's viewpoint was an inspired choice.

That was amazing! As an American, the Lady in Powder Blue didn't make me think of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, BUT! "Announce Us..." did! immediately. My mouth fell open with audible gasp.
