Fantastic story! You really captured John's essence perfectly, as well as the other characters in those tiny mentions you had (*of course* Molly wouldn't look at John in the eye and *of course* Lestrade would be worried). This is a scene that doesn't usually get much recognition -that I'm aware of, anyway- so it's certainly nice to read something that is as well-written as your story.
