Reviews for Backwards
LeFey14 chapter 33 . 7/12
ah crap finally July gave me a break, I swear this month I was so busy that I couldn't see the notification of this update, but finally I was able to read this chapter.
I'd love to make a more useful review but I think I'll only say that you are wonderful and there couldn't have been a better start for this last arc (looks quite promising). Anyway thank u very much. I had a very relaxing read
Guest chapter 33 . 7/4
Just absolutely amazing, as per usual. So happy the girls are on the same page again (I was very much hoping they’d go back to the double ever since they started singles). Lovely to see how supportive both of them are to each other, and that the support goes both ways between them. I’m very excited to see what’s in store when they start racing the double again, and obviously VERY excited to see how their relationship progresses from this point. Anyway, I’m in constant awe of how good this story is. You’re awesome.
RockLovert chapter 33 . 7/4
dry6 chapter 33 . 7/4
I missed this so much and finally I had the oportunity to enjoy this today.
So FINALLY! Elsa finally realized that they are stronger together, after the last chapter I was expecting stg like this so I'm glad it happened :D. At least it's something that will serve them for what is coming. And although I expected this, the way the situation occurs is really nice. You handle fluency in your writing very well.
The last thing I'd like to point out is that (IMO) Anna also requires the help of a specialist, since the trauma still continues to affect her, perhaps not in the same way as Elsa and her problems, but still being something happened in her childhood isn't something she can easily forget.
I hope you stay safe, regards and much love. Bye!
KaytieJay chapter 33 . 7/4
I would like to echo your PSA, there are times when one cannot do everything and it is the ones brave enough to know when to ask for help. It’s the love ones closest to them that give that sometimes give that ever so slight nudge in the right direction. Not everyone is perfect... in fact... no one is!

As for the chapter, simply fantastic! I was definitely taken by surprise by Elsa’s prodding Anna about what she truly loved in rowing. That and to make the suggestion that she did just proved Elsa also was growing too and willing to do something so monumental for someone else. I absolutely loved it. It’s all coming together now but there’s a lot more to come I suspect. I await the next chapter with bated breath.

As alway, stay safe!
MyPennamehasbeentaken chapter 33 . 7/3

all the chapter was so sweet, it's nice seeing them at peace with each other.
thank you for letting us continue following their journey
ZoeNightshade2214 chapter 33 . 7/3
Alright, I feel like I've been picking out favorite lines throughout other chapters so I'm going to start with that:
"That, every day, I get to watch someone choose love over fear without a second thought."
I love this line because A. It helps Anna assuage her fears of the water, while not diminishing them or dismissing them. Elsa acknowledges that despite her fear Anna doesn't let her stop her from doing what she loves and that is the bravest thing she can do. and B. It glimpses into Elsa and you can just tell that when she says it she's in awe of Anna because Anna has done what she still isn't brave enough to do. Sure she does what she loves, but she hasn't quite given up the future that's been laid before her and still wants her parents approval. She's afraid of disappointing them and that, to an extent, will always be weight on her shoulders even though she is rowing. Elsa can't 100% without abandon give into her love and desires because she is still afraid (for now).

I really liked the dynamic interactions between our two girls this chapter. The way that Elsa attempts to be more open and honest shows an improvement and lasting impact of their deep discussion last chapter. This chapter almost gives a role reversal between the two girls. The entire story Anna has always shown that she has a deeper understanding of Elsa than Elsa herself in certain aspects of her life. This chapter helps highlight the fact that Elsa, too, is perceptive and receptive of Anna and her feelings and personal battles. While talking of being open and honest, no more secrets, we see Anna giving half truths and withholding info from Elsa. Yes, Anna is doing because she wants what is best for Elsa and believes this is the most logical way to deal with such thoughts, but in a way so did Elsa in previous chapters.

The end of this chapter was beautifully written. The way that Elsa knows how Anna has been feeling and also feels secure enough to call her on her bullshit was great character growth. The ending leaves openness for what is to come, but the final note is so optimistic. You can start to see the shift in their relationship and also Elsa's relationship with herself and rowing. I said at the beginning of this review that Elsa is still afraid of disappointing her parents and trying to prove her worth by being a successful. Elsa being the one to acknowledge that not only Anna, but also herself, truly has her heart in the double is a giant step in overcoming that fear. The fact that is is Elsa who is the one who brings up the topic and admits it to Anna is huge. You can almost argue that this is the first time that Elsa head on acknowledges and gives into her own desires freely and openly. I can't wait to see what lies ahead.

PS. I love that you brought Max back in for a brief cameo.
Clutch25 chapter 33 . 7/3
wait 2 months for this chapter, read the whole story again to remember what happened, do not fall asleep until this is achieved
me: YES!
Demons Of Doom chapter 33 . 7/3
Dowww, this chapter was so sweet.

I like how it was such a mistery to Anna why everyone thought that she was brave, and now Elsa explained to her what others see. Very moving closure on that trend.

Elsa definitely needs some coaching to help her deal with her emotions. She's too intense xD A neutral outsider's perspective will help her get back on track when her mind gets too chaotic.

Gotta say, I'm happy Elsa was far ahead from everyone else in that final race. I thought due to some plot-twist that Anna would win. I can't explain why, but it was making me very nervous. Like main-character OP win xD But Elsa was there already, having a cup of coffee probably waiting for the rest to catch up. Lol.

It makes perfect sense that Anna would enjoy the sharing of the sport more than the sport itself, hence her dislike for the Single. And extremely in character as well. Anna's a pack creature and she thrives on the sharing.

It would also make sense for Elsa to accept moving away from the Single if it meant to make Anna happy. We know she gives it her all to the people she loves. I also believe she may be a bit in denial here. xD Maybe she also yearns to share her victories but won't accept that. This may be the first step for her to come to terms with her yearning to be loved and love in turn. Her acceptance of it in the relationship-field is a start!

Wonder what conflicts they'll be facing from now on. I know Hans The Dick will probably come back to bite more ankles.

So happy to have an update.
dreamcatcher09 chapter 33 . 7/3
Great chapter! Thanks for the update
tacomayor chapter 33 . 7/3
What an awesome surprise to wake up to the notification of an update. I really don’t know how to feel about Elsa competing in the double. I’ve conflicting feelings, on one hand I was really looking forward to it. But on the other hand I’d also love to see her achieve everything she wanted in the single. I get that with time things get into perspective, more so when you get to experience new things. But man would it be nice to see her beat Belle one on one in the Olympics and awe everyone who’s looked down upon her. Well, i guess you can’t get everything, and this really does seem like the best option. Had they continued in the singles I think the most realistic thing would’ve been for their relationship to become even just a little bit strained. There’s no way their competitive natures would’ve made thing easy.

Anyhow, I really love your writing style, how you really get into their feelings and thought process and I really like where you’re taking the story. Particularly I liked that Anna encouraged Elsa to seek professional help, i think it’s long overdue.
MelonSquishie chapter 33 . 7/3
