Lovely, really lovely! :3 Very sweet: I love angles from fathers in birth scenes, particularly when they're sentimental like this one.
I loved the little paragraphs describing Thranduil's other children- I generally find elves quite one-dimensional characters and you've definitely given this whole family more layers and depth just in this short chapter! My favourite is Meril so far; she reminds me of myself (although she's a whole lot more beautiful than me). Too bad that she and the other children are going to die, as you said in your summary...
I normally would go into real detail in a review (my reviews, depending, tend to challenge the length of the chapter itself- and I'm only half joking... *guilty as charged*) but I am planning to review all the chapters individually, so I'll just give an overview of each chapter and go into depth at the end. :)
I will be looking at the next chapter maybe tomorrow (I've run out of time...) :D

I also forgot to say that I loved the father/son moment in the last chapter. I hope there will be more of those in the next chapters.

This story is so sad. I feel so sorry for the characters. I'm looking forward to the next chapter.

btw Greenleaf is not a surname. It's just a translation of Legolas. Elves sometimes ad the translation of their names when they speak to someone in Westron.
Elves don't have family names. The royal family of Mirkwood could be called the house of Oropher (Oropher was Thranduil's father). And Legolas full name is Legolas Thranduilion (son of Thranduil).
