OMG YAY YOU UPDATED! You’re the best and I adore this fic! Keep going forever!

OMG wedding day jitters, there's nothing like them. You captured perfectly that urge to throw up, to run, to doubt everything that prepared you for this day. Her fear was palpable and it made me smile.

Having support from her mother and Miranda were what she needed but right up until she stepped into that aisle I feared she wouldn't because you wrote her fears so well. But she did. And what an image, having those two gorgeous men waiting for her, it's swoon material.

You made me laugh at the rock, paper, scissors treatment, but how else is there to deal with big decisions. I love the strength in their hand holding, grounding them all in the here and now and to each other. It was a perfect image and made me tear up. Beautifully done, amazingly written and so perfectly painted. I loved it.

This was such a beautiful chapter after the horror of the previous one. There's a real sense of calm and comfort all the way through it.

I love the little things you throw in to show us how much they care for each other, Shepard knowing Kaidan so well he knows where his mind is wandering, Kaidan knowing him enough to know how he's dealing with everything that's happened. Both of them knowing Jenna enough to know she'll miss her bed warmers. It's a beautiful picture of three people in a believable relationship.

I love the image of Kaidan wondering where Jenna got her jacket, it added a touch of whimsy to the chapter, John singing, Kaidan's joy that they get to share this moment, it left me feeling happy. Nice work.

Is it wrong I actually laughed that they tried to lay this at Shep's feet, to Shep's face? A clean bullet to the brain pan is better than what they deserved.

Nice build up of tension here. I was waiting for something to happen, something to go wrong. You definitely kept me guessing.

Jenna is falling into her role very well, she's confident and capable and the way she worked with Shepard and team was really well done. Working with Mitch had to be difficult and I loved that sense of Shepard honing in on her words, a touch of jealousy maybe even though he's the consummate professional. That line where Joker spoke directly to her, ignoring protocol, was perfect and made me grin, it's exactly what he would do.

My skin crawled when they found the women and children. Shepard wishing for Kaidan said so much about what he was feeling, that and the way he pushed down those horrible thoughts. I liked how he thought about the women he had with him, physically and on com, and what he'd brought them into. It shows a level of care that we don't see very often.

His satisfaction at being given the all clear for no prisoners was so strong. His fury at them using his name for their reasoning resonated of the page but he is right, it did feel anticlimactic purely because there weren't enough of them to sate his need for vengeance. It was really well written and packed with emotion. But you do that very well and I'm eager to see what comes next.

My feelings have been hurt. I'm stuck between angry and beyond words. I'm glad Team Normandy is wildin out.

Thrown in the deep end. Jenna's self doubt came across so clearly but then she realises that she can do this otherwise John wouldn't have put her there. He has faith and so should she. And she does, to the point where it feels like she's slid naturally into the role. It was a good look at her internal thought processes and the awakening of her confidence. She might not be doing it perfectly right but she's doing it and that's what matters.

I have to say I felt a little sorry for her ex, to be around not only the military but Shepard in particular when he's on duty. Had to be daunting and maybe a little scary. I did chuckle a bit at his discomfort with Jenna being strictly on duty and John's thoughts. She's way out of his league now.

It's good seeing them both in action and together on Jenna's first real op. She's becoming the professional soldier and it suits her. A really good chapter at showing her growth from the girl we first met.

You updated I'm so late like a month and a day but you updated I'm so happy! Thank you, hahaha!

You did a great job of showing Mitch's discomfort at being around Shepard, I could feel his guts churning.

I love how Jenna realises she's different now, that the woman she was is long gone and her unease at dealing with Mitch as a civilian was perfect. Her professionalism stands out even though her and Shepard are together, it's a sign of how much she's grown since we first met her and it's wonderful.

That touch of humour in the message was great, giving us a glimpse of their personal relationship while keeping our feet in the business end of things. I should feel sorry for Mitch but I don't, does that make me a bad person ;p. Loved it as always.

So when should I be watching for your original work? ;)

I'm chomping at the bit here, what is going on?

LOL. I have this image of Jenna gaping at John, thoughts of what he wants to do to her ex when in reality it's only business. Those last two lines were brilliant. As was the fact that he trusts her to guide him through the situation.

Of course the whole chapter was brilliant. I love the contrast between what John expected - the rubble and destruction - and what he saw - life returning. He's right, he did fight for it, but to see it has to be an eye opener. Now that he can take the time to think about the now and the future I'm imagining it's a little hard for him, something he's never had to, or didn't want to, contemplate before. I love the look inside his head.

I am glad he realised he shouldn't show his appreciation for Miranda's beauty - jealousy is a bitch. But I like the idea of platonic friendship and hopefully that's what's developing here. And I just knew that intel would bring them trouble, how much you've yet to show. But I'm so looking forward to it.
