I have to tell you that this is by far one of my most favorite fanfics ever! I love a lot of pairings and EngIta is one of my favorites. I haven't found a fanfic of EngIta with Uke!Feli which I find ironic, they're mostly with Uke!Arthur(Which I find okay in other pairings just not with Feli.) Either way I truly love the relationship between the two, its different y'know with a Sassy sarcastic but still very lovable Feli with a mischievous gentleman but still grumpy Arthur, you have written an awesome fanfic which I hope you update soon. And I will hope that you update, can't wait for the next chapter!

This is actually my first time reading EngIta (don't know what possessed me to click)

But, dude, this is so adorable. You somehow transformed my non-preferable pair into my new damn-cute-together pair.

So I scalded my thumb, and holy shit does it ever hurt like a motherfucker on steroids. But reading this made me feel way better, especially since I tried and failed to track down your blog. Funny how typing while missing the use of one finger complicates things so much.

I did notice some errors here and there, particularly in the sight-sharing scene: I think you slipped into present tense without meaning to.

At the risk of running out of things to gush about in future reviews, I just want to say how much I appreciate the way you're slowly introducing new magic powers as needed. While the magical elements aren't the core of this story, it is nice that you do what a lot of fantasy authors forget to do: establish the rules of the fantasy elements. And as the romance is established and starts to take a back seat to the main plot, I'm glad to see that one of my few worries about this story is being addressed: that it wouldn't have enough of a plot to hold my attention through to the end. I'll just hope that I don't have to wait another two years for another update.

So your prose here is the very definition of the mantra I live by in my own writing: Cut the crap. And I absolutely love it. There's so much plot in so few words! So much development and no useless words! No sentences that make me burst out laughing! No repetitive phrases that make me want to start a drinking game!

Also, these interactions as you write them are why I love EngIta. There's just something about this ship that FrUK, much as I also love it, doesn't seem to have.

After a long day of reading and digesting a story about abusive relationships that deeply disturbed me, your writing here is like one hell of a de-stresser that I really really needed. So I may be a bit biased. Also I'm a trashy EngIta shipper.

But OMG I love this. Maybe because England and Italy are both portrayed as realistic, intelligent people here, and it's so beautiful to see two of my favourite characters not being ridiculously mischaracterised. And the story actually moves along! I know that seems like a weird thing to say, but recently I've been stuck reading fanfics that were so caught up in describing every last action, reaction, and thought of their characters, as well as describing all their clothing, that they utterly forgot to write any actual action or plot.

I mean, here in one chapter you've managed to slip in so many little details about the setting, using the lovely minimalist style of writing that I absolutely adore, without punching me in the face with an infodump. At least, it never felt boring. If I had a word to describe the way this story feels while I'm reading it, it would be "sparkling". Because it's so intelligent, and such a breath of fresh air that I needed after all the doom and gloom I've been reading lately.

As for things that seemed a bit iffy to me, they're more just personal quibbles of mine here, rather than serious flaws in other stories. Your habit of using a whole bunch of different verbs in place of the word "said", kind of jumps out at me sometimes, but that's a rant that I'm just not going to get into right now. It's not that bad anyway, just a thing I noticed.

In short, your writing's just great, and I love that I can just relax and enjoy it, instead of nitpicking it constantly as I've found myself doing with other fanfics that weren't as well thought-out or well-written, lately.
