Liked the story. Interested to see what the sequel brings.

Throughout my rewatch of avatar I really was trying to take Zuko seriously but at times he was just so freaking 2006 emo phasey and you captured that perfectly

Okay the sheer stupidnes of how she sees no way of stopping Azula, when she insiste of fing bringing them there while knowing what would happen. Like what the actual fuk?! dont go there! or warn your friends! Why repeat this?

Honestly? I think it was quite stupidly executed. Really? knowing the futere, already telling your friends you know the future and best you can do is charge solo? Is her brain rotten? You would think a warning about the possible attack on fish house would do more. Or just fing take Aang with you there, instead of letting him search for spirits in vain.

I understand you didnt want MC to be Mary Sue, but at this point, if at the start of story a rock would fall from the sky and land in front of Zuko, with her speech written on it, it would have made the same amount of impact to the story that she has. Dont give her bending if you dont want to, but make her at least more useful than this.

I must that it is disapointing of how little change a forth character has given to the story. It's a bit too much of a reteling of original from other peoples perspective. I hope that changes soon.

I didn’t even wonder why Maddi didn’t mention Roku, after all, ancestry doesn’t/shouldn’t define you in her mind, as best I can tell, so it wouldn’t be too important of a point compared to her knowledge of his character.

Can anyone please tell my why almost no Avatar SI actually have powers? In Harry Potter, SIs mostly have magic. Naruto SIs have chakra. Worm SIs have their powers. But in this fandom I have found literally one fanfic where the SI has bending. Every other SI just somehow end up without it. Why is this aversion from giving SI bending powers? Every other fandom does the opposite except from Avatar and Legend of Korra. I am genuinely baffled as to why?

Um to be honest shouldn't they be called spirits and not god and goddess? And isnt bending gifted by the lion turtles not them as shown in legend of korra.

My last comment wasn't intended to offend you. I apologize if it did. I just wanted to point out the absurdity of a mordern girl without any powers, family background or wealth suddenly becoming part of the plot and dating the prince charming who randomly decided that he didn't want to purse his lifelong ambition anymore.

Someone pointed out that not giving Pala powers was a good idea. Plese consider it youself, how Mary Suish does it look for an SI to become the part of the main plot without powers of any kind with them? Make her wealthy like Asami or a rich father or decedent from someone important, that would make sense. Atleast the knife throwing Mai or Chi blocking Ty lee kind 9f stuff? We all saw how (in)effective Suki was when things got real. And that was with a life time of training. Your girl is an average Josie from earth.

She isn't even related to someone important. Just pops up one day on tge shore and everyone is suddenly buddies with her? This sounds more unrealistic ( yes, I get the irony) than actually throwing in some form of power or influence.

My point is, there is noting that makes her special in any regard than the reincarnation aspect itself. Which is an weak cruth to base your story upon. Take hints from "In a Darker World" - it is the kind of SI integration I am talking about.

Your writing style shows that you ar a very talented writer, I hope you shall keep this in mind in your next works.

This Maddi or Pala whatever has literally no business being with the gang. She is absolutely worthless other than Meta Knowledge that she isn't using. In the Avatarverse non-benders are sheep. Especially untrained mordern girl your SI. Her integration with them seems forced. Like why woukd they take a random, untalented, untrained girl that is not even related to them in their journey? Sokka tagged along because he was related to Katara and was useless for the most part. This is such a cringe where this Zuko randomly develops feelings for an unremarkable girl. Spirts come into her dreams randomly. But she has no skill of bending of her own.

This is simply a childish, immature wish fulfillment story with a poor plot but surprisingly good writing. I would recommend not reading it unless you enjoy powerless Mary Sue wannabes. Or are really desperate.

Just finished this and it was sooooooo good I loved it! I usually am a Zuko/Katara shipper but I gave this one a chance and I am sooo glad!
