I can honestly say, I haven't read something that has genuinely grabbed me and not let go like this did in a long time! The story, the attention to detail, the characterisation, the nuances, had me completely hooked! I've laughed and smiled and genuinely cried tears of both sadness and joy reading this! I stumbled upon this a few days ago, with no summary to go on and no idea what I was in for. I was apprehensive, but I saw how much appraisal it had gotten and figured, why not. What I didn't know is how much this work would resound with me. This is one of the most beautiful pieces of literature i have ever read. That's tough for me to say, because i devour books with a quickness that would scare you. The way you depicted everyone, kept it true and painfully believable, I applaud you. I often found myself relating heavily with Steve. I suffer from depression and anxiety, and I'm extremely selfish with my partner of 12 years. I felt how he felt, and I thoroughly enjoyed and dreaded that all at the same time. Thank you. Never forget this talent!
