Miriam1 chapter 1 . 2/12 Wow. That was quite a realization. It was a logical series of questions, and a logical conclusion. Good for Harry! Nicely done. Sincerely, Miriam |

missgsmith51 chapter 1 . 1/4/2018 Excellent! I'd have loved to be a "Skeeter" on the wall and to hear the questions and responses from McGonagall and Snape. Would they take any responsibility for their own reprehensible behavior, would they simply blame Dumbledore, or would they roll it all back onto Harry himself? Snape's responses are pretty easy to guess. He would blame Harry for anything and everything, simply because he is a Potter. McGonagall is tougher to predict. At first, I believe she might actually own her part in things and lament how she had failed her "Bairn." She would also be likely to question Snape and scold him for childish and inappropriate behavior before finally admitting her culpability and commiserating with him. In the end, though, I think she would turn her focus on Albus and remind him that the things she did were at his command, that he was the one who kept piling it onto Harry and forcing everyone else to do the same, despite their unwillingness. Harry has asked some tough questions, but Dumbledore's secrecy and game-playing probably mean he never would get completely truthful answers. I'm not even sure Dumbledore is capable of telling the truth anymore. I have two people in my extended family who lie about innocuous, unimportant things, and they aren't even doing it to stay out of trouble. Lying has simply become so ingrained into their lives that it happens automatically. This time, though, thanks to his actions, the entire country is now in disaster mode. Thanks to years of incompetent DADA teachers, Britain is filled with wizards who are improperly equipped to fight a war (or even defend themselves) and expect others to do it for them. Couple this with a Minister who is either an ostrich or deliberately aiding Voldy in his efforts, he is now in charge of doing what he'd planned to foist off onto Harry. Good luck! |
noreenklose chapter 1 . 12/16/2017 Excellent points. This is precisely why I believe Dumbles is either EVIL or GROSSLY incompetent. JKR says he is just "misguided", but then again, she let all kinds of evil go free, while she KILLED off good, innocent characters. Poor Dobby, & Hedwig died...the Malfoys made out like OK. Thanks for writing. Iliked your story a lot! |
