No I don't plan on receiving any punishment for my misdeeds or handing over evidence and info I have on the White Fang to authorities. I need you to secretly smuggle me into the SDC gala armed while telling no one about it to repent and I am totally not still a White Fang operative even though I have given you no proof that I am not.

Even ignoring the untrustworthy Blake stuff this plan seems to be focusing entirely on protecting while leaving the gala guests completely to the questionable mercy of the White Fang.

Come on don't put everyone you care about in danger by telling no one about the upcoming White Fang attack in some attempt to protect Blake who you barely know or some misguided arrogance that you have to handle all things alone.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh. This needs to continue, it is imperative that more chairs be added. This has been one of the best Oreimo fics ever and I refuse to believe it is doomed to never be continued. It would be an affront to the amazingness that is this story, it didn't deserve to be yet another great fic that is abandoned before it really even got started. It's like you whetted my appetite by dangling a piece of meat in front of my face after going 2 weeks without meat to appease my gf's vegetarian parents who believe their daughter is still following their example and has converted me as well only to snatch it away and throw it in the incinerator. Unlike some others in the comments I found your back and forth between Slice of Life and action/adventure/mystery very well done and compelling, obviously, in a way that kept me reading all night and into the next morning. Please, for all that is precious in the world, don't let this story continue to rot in the trash heap that other authors have thrown similar gems of literature. If you need help with something or are going through IRL stuff, hopefully something too untoward hasn't happened to you, at least let your readers know. I know that is extremely selfish of me to ask you to take time out of your possibly rough situation/life just to placate me and your other readers but it would be appreciated by everyone I'm sure. If you do come back and need help with it I'm sure there are plenty of us willing to help. Anyway, I'm sorry for all of that, I really just felt like venting in hopes that maybe you'd see this and give all of us some piece of mind. Like I said, I know it's selfish and that something could have happened to you, which would really suck and not just because of where it would leave the fic, and that I'm probably being really insensitive but on the cusp of finishing the written chapters and seeing the last update I guess I got kinda antsy.

There was no misunderstanding. Blake had no reason to suspect ill intention. To keep an eye on Kyo, yes, to attack him and assume the worst, no. People who act like that are either stupid or trying merely to feel like they’re doing good to pat themselves on the back. Even worse, when Kyo asked her why she was following his sister, she ignored that and asked why he was following her sister. It took Kyo explaining for her to grasp what happened, even though his question should have made it obvious to her.

I wish Kyo would shut Wiess up. She blames him for the consequences of HER decision to speak up.

Pfft, feelings. No, actually, feelings should not take priority. How often do you see "this is the perfect husband he X, Y, and Z, but I don't love him so I won't marry him." ? Often. It's stupid. Just because you don't feel romantic love for someone doesn't mean you should be swayed by that lack of romance. Besides, true love is devotion and affection. Being affectionate and being devoted is love. Giving and receiving devotion and affection is mutual love. Romantic love is merely an advanced form of crush, which is why the vast majority of marriages based on "love" end up with divorce. Doki doki is NOT a good judge of a life partner.

Actually, what Ruby said IS a perfectly valid excuse. On top of defending themselves obviously not being illegal. Congratulation, Glynda and Daisuke are now both guilty of false arrest, kidnapping (since they were not acting legally), and false imprisonment and you can add “against minors” to all of that. Then double it since it’s a charge for each of those for both Ruby and her “Big Bro” apiece.

Not surprised that so many started to drop the story around these chapters. The narrative is all over the place. I get wanting to cross the plots of RWBY and Oreimo but it just feels super bloated and lacking focus. Toss on a White Fang plot point pre-Beacon that for some reason they don’t want to involve others with and the slice of life moments... it just doesn’t work.

Worse than that though is the extremely oversized cast you tried to work with and how each of them have character arcs you’re trying to juggle. Between Blake, Weiss, Yang, Kirino, and Kyousuke we bounce perspectives and meet a new face every third paragraph. It. Is. Too. Much.
So introducing an extremely powerful character who also ties into the plot AND is from another franchise? Yeah it makes sense why people would leave this story. On that note... if Lightning understood where he was coming from in his angst over feeling weak why the fuck didn’t she bring that up 3 years prior? It’s like you didn’t even think about that scene in the slightest.

Not sure if you'll see this (given how long it's been since this fic has been updated), but I just wanted to say this—this was really great! I loved every bit of it; and no, I'm not exaggerating in the least. The writing style, the pacing, the original plot, Weiss, Blake, and even the bits conflicting with canon—all of it was handled so well. It only took me one session to finish it all because of how much I enjoyed it; I couldn't not keep reading.
It's a real shame the fic's on (what I assume to be) a permanent hiatus. Honestly, it hurts to know that this probably won't be continued.
Anyway, thanks for this! Was a real treat to read.
