This has honestly gone on for too long. I get you authors don’t get paid for this, and I’d normally be ok with waiting. But too many authors are doing this; promising to update “soon” and then disappearing for a year or two (or more). No explanation, no updates, not even a “sorry but story is cancelled/on hiatus/whatever because ‘vague personal reason’.” (Kudos to you though for taking the blame and not giving some generic “School” excuse for being gone for TWO FREAKING YEARS) Is given to the readers who try to support them. Hell I’d be ok with either a simple ‘I’m alive’ or ‘I’m done’. At least I’d know you aren’t dead. But no, now I’m practically looking at multiple ‘next update: TBA’s. And I could totally buy “because of covid-19” but this has gone on LONG before this goddamn epidemic. I’m sorry but I simply cannot do this anymore. I’ve pretty much gone nuts with waiting for an end that may never come and may even end up ruining what made the story great in the process. I’m waisting my time here and I’M done, not just with this story but fanfiction itself. It’s been a nice ride and I thank you but this is just getting ridiculous. I’m going back to books, they at least are finished even if a lot of them are bad. Note: if you are actually dead, then this whole rant is moot and should just be ignored. And if you do come back, don’t take this as me telling you to quit. I commend you for admitting it’s your fault but ultimately that doesn’t mean shit if you don’t go and fix that (maybe you will. I’d like to be proven wrong in cases like this but Idk what you are actually doing in real life and frankly, I don’t really care to). Just trying to help you not disappoint any others. Maybe he needs to turn around and actually tell them all off, that it's his choice what happens not theirs. Of course then it can go one of two ways, both equally silly.

1. They actually realise what they are doing to him and how much its actually worrying him, etc etc.
