Great emptions, especially Annie's letter. I could see Auggie kneeling in front of her tombstone, touching it with my onner eye. And good that you put the role of Joan for their relationship in front. There is just one tiny detail I don't get: Why couldn't Joan or especially Calder not help Annie with the three guards?
Anyway, keep writing stories, I'd love to read more of you!
