This is actually rather good, and I love the touch, the hand on Tony's lower back, at the end. You wrote another short piece in which Gibbs dies in flames that seemed clumsy, so much so that the readers didn't understand what was going on. I had to work to figure it out. So it seems that first person works well for you, which is good.
I've notice you apologize a lot, which is a puzzle to me. Never apologize! It is what it is.
