This is a fantastically wonderful story, okay. I really like it quite a bit. It provides excellent insight into Roxanne's character, and her Actual, non-romanticized pre-movie dynamics with the rest of the cast.

Oh, that is so sweet, that she is concerned about his villainous image, because she knows it's important to him. Wonderful exploration of the complicated relationships between hero-villain-sidekick-damsel. Yeah, Megamind probably deserves to get yelled at a little, even if Roxanne does kind of understand where he's coming from.

I've been a fan of your work, since the first time i read Maslow. I think you nailed the relationship dynamic between Drakken and Shego perfectly, and it is still the perfect fic of that pairing for me.

And now after reading this particular fic, I only wanted to encourage you to continue writing this. This fic has all the right ingredients that made Maslow so perfect, and I believe that you can do the same justice for Megamind/Roxxane pairing too. I can already see your unique style of character dynamics working in forming their relationship, and that, to at least, promises an interesting story to come, just like you did in Maslow (God, I'm totally geeking out right now, right?...

This is an AU that needed to be written. What if Roxanne was the first one to get tired of the game and to want out? And you've done it beautifully, with all the characters in character and the sequence of events logically consistent.

I just wanted to say that what you have done here is a different take on the whole "what if Metro Man quit" thing. It's very interesting, and your style makes it even more so. I think you should go ahead and continue it if you can, because I would love to read more. I was kind of stumped when I read "The End". I guess you're just trying to make it clear that something other than a oneshot might not be possible. But I really hope you continue with this, it's fresh and different, and thanks for writing it!

Heh, so what Roxanne needed to do all along was to ask. To save a lot of pain both for her and Megamind. Although if she actually was entertained by the charade and got use of it to boost her career then in the end she's acting a bit like a hypocrite. Maybe she's just realised that she has her career but she's 10 years older with no friends, no family, no other simple things in life to enjoy - that's hardly a Megamind's fault then.
