i don't get it! why do you have to end the story midway like when he finished talking and why is everyone acting like it is a one shot i read t unfinished

I'm sad you killed off Hakase, but I'm quite happy you decided on offing Mouri instead of Heiji.

Reread this last night and I love it even more than the first version, which was my favourite one-shot of yours. I love dark-Shinichi since one can recognize so many traits of canon-Shinichi in him and marvel at how they could have served an evil purpose if he had been raised differently.

I have the feeling this would make a great beginning for a multi-chapter...

I remember reading this long ago. Glad to find it back. AU!Shinichi is what I imagined as anokata in canon. Nice fic.

I remember reading this a long time ago and then a while back, I suddenly had a urge to read this again. Unfortunately, I had forgotten the name of this fic and searched forever through my fave list looking for this story, only to not be able to find it... Turns out you had took it down for rewrite. Lol.

But I'm glad you reposted this. I really love this AU, where Shinichi is the Boss' son. I know this is a oneshot but it'd be awesome if you could continue this or write something in this AU. Thank you for posting this awesome fic.

This was so much fun to read.

At least, until the end. As I was reading the last paragraph, I had trouble grasping the level of AU required for even a morally ambiguous Shinichi to tell someone to go kill herself.

I like how you followed the original plot a bit with her sister. There were a few sentences that felt run on...overall, LOVE the story!
P.S. when you meant "end" at the end of the chapter did you mean end of chapter? Or end of story?
What a cliffhanger!

I loved it then, and I love it now. Perhaps what's most chilling about this AU! Shinichi is how logical, poised and reasonable he sounds at times. Not so much expressive violence or the twirling of proverbial moustaches, as the absence of empathy altogether. And his final line is (delightfully, in a twisted way) chilling, partially because he can almost convince you to contend with his reasoning.

The scene with drops of liquid rolling down the window, as if foreshadowing the murder, was memorable. It's one of those scenes that just stays.
