Damn Cas and his self-sacrificing behavior. He just doesn't seem to realize that if he died, they would be devastated!

I am curious, though. When I first read this story, I don't recall getting an answer to this question, and I even skimmed through again to see if I had just forgotten... But, who sent the message from Cas' phone? I had the feeling that it was Dean because he was very familiar with the way that the phones worked, and who to message. And HOW to message, for that matter. I don't think Hannah would know enough about human technology to be able to do so, so I was assuming Dean.

Looking at Season 11, a scene like this would have helped so much. I don't know what's worse, Sam being completely blinded by his frantic search for Dean or Cas nearly dying alone because he doesn't want to "burden" the people he should be able to trust more than anyone else. It's actually very sad but at least, your story had hopeful ending in that regard. And the "stranger"... just perfect

Man I really enjoyed this oneshot. The feels were awesome, I was so sad for both Sam and Cas :( poor guys. I wish I had read this fic when season 10 first started, this is exactly what I would love to have seen.

It was sooo touching when Cas was outside the warehouse and got help from our "mysterious stranger" ;) . Ah, my chest hurt it was so bitter-sweet. I could just picture it, I wish so badly we had seen that in the show (especially when your writing really makes it feel like it could have been!)

Intriguing idea about Sam charging Cas up. I like that both of your fics regarding Cas's failing grace had different ways to fix it. Nice creativity with the spell!

Poor Sam and Cas, I hope they save Dean soon. I guess it was him that send the text from Cas' phone, but I like that you don't reveal it.

Oh my gosh, this was just...I want this to happen in season 10 lol :P I really enjoyed seeing Sam work with Cas too, and I kind of hope that's how it's going to be when they are looking for Dean. As always, I love how you write Cas, he's very in character, and the way you captured his despair here was heartbreaking. I'm guessing it was Dean who texted Sam maybe? And the very end was just lovely. So many family feels I loved it!
