I only started reading fanficticn when the show ended - I was so sad and it filled the gap. I have only just come across this story - I do not know how I missed it!
It is magnificent - I love Sharon & Andrea, I love how they are taking care of Rusty, I love how he explained to Sharon why he did not call her mom. I need to know more, will Rusty recover fully, will he have a disability, will he get together with Ethan or just be best friends, what will he do with the trust fund - see I told you I needed to know more.
Please please please come back to this wonderful story and update - we need it now more than ever to put a smile on our face and in our hearts.

Good morning! I have just recently found this story and have finished all 9 chapters. I really enjoyed it, although I was really worried about Rusty there for a while and then I was concerned Sharon was going to be mad that Andrea talked her inton letting Rusty go.I hope you continue on with the story. Isee so much potential for development with the introduction of Ethan and the dads.

This is a terrific story! It has everything I love. I adore the Raydor/Hobbs pairing and the mothership!

What a great chapter! I enjoyed the chat between Sharon, Andrea and Ethan very much. Great take on that fight Rusty got into on his first day at school, too. Now I can't wait to check in on Rusty again and see how he's doing!

Oops read this very early this morning & forgot I did not leave a review... Please don't shoot! Love nurse Jones's reaction to Ethan! LOL Very true about the manners & the sass! (They make a good couple!) ;-) Ethan is a very thoughtful person (his dads did very well!) Love how Dr. Morales goes off about the hand lotion! LOL Hereditary? NOT! ;-) Maybe some of Ethan will rub off on Rusty!

Also glad that Rusty finally got to explain to Sharon why he always goes off when someone calls her his mom! From hurt on Sharon's side to total mush! ;-) (Thank goodness for Andrea... can't say that enough!) She is a great mediator to have! ;-)

Love Sharon feeding Rusty too! Hospital food... Oh so good! ;-) Hope Rusty passes ALL his tests! Too bad he will be missing out on a fun breakfast with Mary, Andrea & Ethan! ;-) Should be an interesting meal! Makes me hungry for breakfast things... FOOD!

WOW! Great chapter... Love Sharon & Andrea coming out of the bathroom & shocking that older woman! I've caused that same reaction many times when I come out of Women's Restrooms! (I once had the police sent after me... Young (idiotic) girls thought it would be funny... NOT) He was a jerk too! Love how the story is flowing! Think I might have to talk to Rusty to see if I could get some cash... pay off my taxes! LOL Good ol' Sharon and her assessing of information and knowing all things before she talks to Rusty! Lucky kid! Known some nurses like Nurse Jones... Hearts of gold behind scruff exteriors! Looks like Sharon & Andrea have won her over (heck they would win me over... ;-)) As always eager for next chapter... but loving it! I've always had those stupid pumps when I've had morphine... I hate them because if they work & you actually might get some sleep... You get woken up again when the morphine stops working & the pain comes back because you could not press that stupid button while you were sleeping! Makes no sense to me! But Rusty was short term morphine patient! Rude awakening! More of an OUCH! Thanks for sharing your talents with us!

Still loving this story. I'm so worried about Rusty, I hope he gets better and doesn't have any permanent damage. I also hope he stops being nasty to Sharon, he's told her a hundred times that she's not his mom. I know he probably doesn't remember and isn't being intentionally mean, and his grumpiness feels very in-character especially if he's in pain and scared, but it's still painful to read! But Sharon and Andrea's relationship makes it better, they're great. And the bit with the trust fund was a great original idea. Hope to see more soon!

This chapter almost made me tear up. I love the supportive relationship youre showing between Sharon and Andrea. And the scenes with Rusty broke my heart pretty much :( Andrea's right, he's lucky to have Sharon as his mom. What a beautiful chapter!

Awwwwwww...You had me crying & laughing (Rios should ALWAYS be the butt of jokes... IMHO!) That woman speaks before her brain even wakes up! Loved Sharon's assessment of what Rios had been up to! Rios so fits the phrase: "Open mouth insert foot"! Also very glad that they are all a family and have each other. Rusty has never known that before (good that it was confirmed...) In his relationship with his mother... He was more the adult than his mother. He was the responsible one (or so it seems...) when she should have been. Also glad that Sharon has Andrea to lean on & that Andrea sounds like she will be there for them both! I do love the nurses assessment of their little family unit... I bet she has seen some very dysfunctional families (if you want to call them that) in her time! Await to hear more from the sage nurse... Guessed I missed out on the Morphine affect... No one ever looked beautiful when I was given that stuff! It barely worked on the pain... Or maybe because my body has been on it so many times... I missed that effect! LOL ;-) Can't wait to see how Ethan is handling this with his dads... In other words as always looking forward to future chapters! I sorta stayed in a child's wing (or it used to be but since our hospital is not really set up for children it got closed down and became the Kidney Wing...) But they kept some of the decor! LOL ;-) But nice wooden floors! Since i worked there I always get a private room... Or so it seems anyway! They all have chairs that become beds for guests! ;-) Yeah, those Catholic Hospitals... (Sorry did not really sound like Rusty when he made that comment about his school! LOL) Must be getting late... ;-) Thanks for sharing! ;-)

I like Nurse Jones! Sass Rusty right back! I almost feel sorry for Rios. Maybe her problem is that she *hasn't* gotten laid in a while. I tell you, this story has me developing a strong crush on Andrea. Just the right mixture of humor and seriousness. And Sharon can put her armor down around her. Looks like Dr. Joe has a lot of work to do with Rusty.
