Sigh... such a great story. Little rushed there at the end in the relationship but I understand wanting to finish and wrap up. Thank you!

I just reread this and love it just as much this time as I did the first. Itachi is such a tragic character, it’s wonderful getting a version where he is worried about and cared for and gets a chance to work through all of the horrible things thrust upon him. I’m still holding out hope that one day we’ll get an amazing fic where he gets to go back to canon verse with his new knowledge, save the day, then get to go back to the alternate verse where people where fretting over his comatose self, waiting anxiously for his return and to help him put the pieces back together again.

This is probably my 4th time of rereading this fanfic. It’s so good. Love the pairing by the way. Muta is an unexpected but great balancer to itachi’s personality. I’m not sure why so many people got so offended over a gay pairing. Seriously, is it that big of a deal? It wasn’t even that big of a part of the whole story. It’s literally just a pairing that was in a few chapters. It’s not that hard to just gloss over it or ignore it. People act so entitled to free writing that they’re reading by being so indignant and angry at you. If they don’t like it they don’t have to throw a temper tantrum at you in the comments and can like a civilized person just click off. Anyways, I really enjoyed what you did with the story and the change in Mikoto. She definitely changed for the better, and I like the way she stands up for her loved ones. Sho is pretty cool too. The way she handled itachi is nice. This was a fun ride!

And what's the absolute worst: throughout the whole fic you're not displaying a single non heterosexual relationship only saving the Itachi thing till the very end. This is a very pre-planned thing to just annoy people nothing more. You're literally the worst.

Had you had the decency to introduce the romantic line earlier and actually _develop_ it, it wouldn't have been so bad. A good example is "Skooma Cat" fic, that at least does it halfway and goes _somewhere_ with it, but nope, what you did is a very cheapo gay drop just to piss people off (corroborated by your AN).

RIP. Not reading the end. M/M out of nowhere is a deal breaker. There was absolutely no indication that Itachi is gay throughout the whole fic, in fact everything pointed to exactly the opposite. This is the worst kind of m/m drop one can encounter in a fic. A shame, otherwise it's great, but on principle I am not reading past m/m ambush.
