Omigosh I found it! I foolishly forgot to favourite this story the first time I read it, and then I lost track of it. Thank you, this is honestly one of my favourite HTTYD fics. Really good writing, keep up the good work!

I think a sequel would be good, but not needed. Valka's return and a giant wolf army would be difficult to do.

So this is awkward, I'm late. XD sorry,but now for a thought then the surprise! I think I would have been bloody angry if they kept my best friend from me, but I can see Hiccup living with it.

Now for the surprise! I haven't done one of these in ages! (4 months) The surprise is a speech, now I know, but it's the best I can do.

I remember when I first clicked this, I was excited and curious, I had only read one other fic like this Much to my happiness I wasn't disappointed, and I can pretty much say no one else who read it was either.
I lived being angry at Stoik, then pitying Hiccup, almost laughing at Toothless, and crying a little at the end.
I think if people asked why I love this the answer would be, you kept me wanting more, sitting at the edge of my seat, and I remember. being one of the first reviewers, I was excited to have found this with no help, not from reviews or friends.
Also I think one thing that stood out to me was, you didn't pair Hiccup with anyone, I respect you for that, not many people do that, nor think about doing it.
So last thing, if people ask me when I'm old why I read this stuff and what were my fav stories, I garentee this'll be the in the few I remember, and I'll also answer, because it gave me freedom, emotion, and happiness.

Actually, this may be one of the best chapters so far! I love how closely you're following the original storyline, while most modern AU's lack that. I also love Hiccup's speech! *wipes tear away* You truly are a gifted writer!
