Chapter 11 was so sad... I knew it was coming and it made the sweet moments so bitter knowing how he bonded with them and then just...haaaaaa

Baylor, it's been ages since I've read this story, but a backward turn of memory led me to it tonight. I'm so very glad. It's even better reading it now, with the perspective of years. Your writing is beautiful and moving, humor living within sorrow- the very characteristics of Tolkien's own works. Thank you so much for this splendid subcreation. This was such an absolute joy to read! I loved it all! Chapters 2, 5 and 10 were my favourties, and 11 was so bittersweet, but I adored it all the same.

I love Boromir with the hobbits, and this fic delivered such cozy and heartwarming scenes of their relationships. And the last chapter especially was perfectly bittersweet, stinging and melting my feelings together. Plus, “may you celebrate many more in better company than that of my I’ll-behaved cousins.” It was delightful to see these guys together in happiness,even as a sad ending I’d inevitable.
