Oh man, I like this story. It's so simple and I love that you didn't feel the need to include extra details which would have taken away from the feelings. It captures Merlin's sadness and his joy well without taking many words to explain it. And your use of second person is perfect, making it sound like just an observant person without directly involving the reader or creating an OC. Overall just really great

This is so cute. And it helped give me closure after the end of the show (as weird as that sounds lol). I feel like I can go on living now. Just fyi.
Also, I love that you included the reader. Normally I don't like these kinds of stories but because it was short and "you" wasn't an invasive character, just a spectator mostly, i enjoyed it. :)
Lastly (just for your info), "the man saysd in a deep..." (second to last Paragraph.)
