Kouichi and Duskmon fics. :D My favourite kind.

An interesting play on the situation. My own head-canon has the order slightly different, but it's interesting how the others play in to this - how it's not just Kouichi and his brother, but his friends as well. Your descriptions are really catchy as well - somehow, the repeat of the "his" really helps the darkness in the scene grow. It also nicely shows the development of that hatred and desire of revenge from mere jealousy. And that description of the eyes made me giggle - but the ending I found a tad anticlimatic. It seemed a bit of a deliberate leap from revenge to thoughts of death... but that might just be me.

Nice fic. :D I can't think of a word (or words) to descrbe what you've done with the wording of this fic, but it's catchy.

We don't get much info on how Kouichi acts, well, thinks inside of Duskmon, and this is a nice way to show that Kouichi was indeed in control of Duskmon's actions, even if they weren't something Kouichi would do now. And besides, I like the fact that there's a voice floating around in Kouichi's mind that tells him this. I dunno why, but when I was watching episode 32, it felt like Cherubimon was talking to Duskmon, not Kouichi. Then again, sub vs dub things, so this feeling might be caused by the way the dub presented this.

Ooh, darkness being the only thing Kouichi can trust. Yeah, it kind of is true, though it seems kind of ironic, as you show that Kouichi really can't remember much of anything. And all fingers points to the darkness. Then again, we can't assume based on lack of info.

I'm pretty sure I had more to say, but I ended up losing my train of thought...ehehehe... well, that doesn't stop me from saying that this was a good piece, and its definitely going on my favorites!
