How sad to think Flea turned into a person that would be so hardened and cruel as to hurt someone else. Poor Porthos.

I'm like that you wrote this story about The Court of Miracles and Flea holding one of the Musketeers hostage to save her people. It's a great setup, and I always found Porthos' past there worth exploring. Also, Flea is s fascinating character. However, I don't entirely like the one-dimensional way you've portrayed the Musketeers, as discompassionate and self-involved. Are they really that dense that they can't figure out why they were targeted? They serve a king who esentially sees them as vermin to be gotten rid of in as inhuman a way as possible and has already tried to blow them up, starve them out, and poison them, including their children. For all their supposed "honor" and "chivalry" they should at least know to try to see these people's point of view, a persecuted people who very understandably see the Musketeers as their enemy because hello, they work for a king who is actively trying to murder and exterminate them. What else do they expect? Porthos especially grew up there, had friends there, and abandoned those friends unlike Flea, who stood by them, which is his right, but to act like he is the better person just because she stands by ALL her friends including the poor and dispossessed ones not just the powerful Musketeer ones when it suits him? And ugh, Athos, why did he and the others have to gleefully kill Flea's men. The Muketeers I know avoid killing when they can and certainly do NOT enjoy it. Sure beat them up and rough them up a little for the horrible way they treated Aramis, but gratuitous killing? Ugh, no.

Excellent read. I have read few who can capture their dialogue as well as you. Its like right out of the script.

Forgive me for not leaving a more detailed review as I very much ought. I did so enjoy this tale. The depth of their brotherhood really came through. Athos throughout this was particularly enjoyable, displaying many characteristics I feel really reflect who he is on the show. Wonderful.

*claps* That was marvelous. Loved ever word, ever hurt, every dastardly deed, every characterization and every Musketeer moment you put together for us to enjoy. Is it too much to hope this fandom goes on in perpetuity? Probably but we have good writers keeping us busy reading in the mean time and while we wait for more episodes, we get more fanfic-episodes.
