Interesting idea of gray Ash. Kinda hurts me that antagonize Misty, it's one of my favorite characters throughout the anime but that's just my personal opinion. Interestingly promises and I have to commend you for it so far you are the author of the best fanfic I've ever found with gray Ash! (the only one I've found but it doesn't matter ...)
I like Asha development as a coach and the rise of his pokemons- he have only a few but do everything to make them stronger and stronger!
I hope that you will develop the idea of Ash's father in Team Rocket.
In the anime we didn't know who's his father so established theory (at least one of many) that his father is Giovani! An interesting idea, personally I hope that you're going in this direction.
